wanna ask, there is a small bright dot somewhere on the bottom of my LCD. it only can be seen if the background is a bright or coloured background. if black background then it's not there. is it a dead pixel or a stuck pixel?

I believe GC still took part in the performance of monitor, when the lcd is big and uses graphic resources

part of it does, as the bigger screen requires more processing power from the gc... the same can be said to proc... smile.gif just like having a small car but got a very big/powerful engine...

1st of all what lcd monitor u using? ur LCD monitor size? if ur LCD monitor screen is 22" ( reso at 1920 x 1080 or higher ) or more better use hd 4850gs 1gb ( RM 740+ ), but if lwoer than 22" ( 1920x1080) then go for the 512mb ( RM 650+ ) smile.gif

of coz can, theres no prob using 512mb version but u will suffer a bit fps drop in game since large monitor ( high reso) will use a lot amount of memory...

GS version is factory OCed GPU and comes with custom cooler, abit expensive than normal gpu 1...

Anyway its all depends on ur budget smile.gif

hi bro may i know where u get ur e2400hd?u saw e2200hd onot?
*
Only Startec carry e2200hd when I went over LY two days ago. They told me a batch of 15 units of e2200hd going to come this week so if you are set on getting it, better call ahead to check.
If you are on console gaming, you want e2200hd, not t2200hd.

I always see people replied this way but is there any prove that you need more than 512MB VRAM when going over 20" LCD.
Back to those days, yeah, VRAM matters for bit depth and resolution. But since nowadays most GPU has at least 128MB or more, why it matters to have more than 512MB when going over 20"?

GPU job is to render image and send them to the monitor. Its the monitor responsibility to display it. GPU wont hold back the data unless you enable VSYNC. If your LCD unable to keep up with the GPU output, how can it be related to the GPU?

If I recalled properly, the 4850 series from ATi is designed to work at 1650x1050 resolution. So there should not be any problem smile.gif. 1GB fares better in 1920x1080 or games with lots of textures eg, Crysis.
