Relax bro, why so big fire~

I don't see them much in ICE scene anyway...

Here explain a short story first:

Yesterday after car battery changed then the car audio look like lock with the volume increase to maximum 80 then only can listen little bit sound. Minimum volume is 0 & normally i m use volume 26 only.

Then i ask the workshop what happened then they informed me change car battery not affect the car audio. The root cause of car audio not function is my car audio is cheap brand & closely spoil before change the car battery.

So want to ask is my car audio is a cheap brand? My car audio is Eclipse CD 5415.

Some expert know to unlock the car audio because i go to accessories shop then they ask me go back to Chevrolet to ask due to the car audio is originally installed in the car when bought the car.

try contact Eclipse...dunno if they still around!! last time my HU 7100 kena locked also, i send to them and they unlock for me...

hi there....does autotek MM amp and precision power sedona series a good amp?? done some research and most of them said back then they were good but now days dunno...

but i can imagine how good it wud look in a classic car interior

Hi sifus.

Just surveyed Focal/MTX/Eton component set for front setup (used MTC CTC-160 before).

Suddenly, yesterday a shop introduce me HELIX (not sure what model) price at something RM1.3K. At least he's talking some common sense and not bragging by saying some facts about MTX with the "American punch" sound and comparing with Helix; natural Germany's sound.

Need some advice.

If I go for MTX/Focal/Eton, I will spend <RM1K. But if Helix, will be >RM1K.

Apa kata sifu ICE? My HU is stock. Later (dont know when) will upgrade

Does Helix requires an amplifier to drive to perform well?
If it does and you have an amplifier, try to hear Adams Digital RUC-165.
You can try audition this component speaker if your budget stretch to around 1.4k

Bring your own CD, and listen to it.

Helix is not bad.

Things I hate when surveying - too many choices!

Bumped into an authorised MTX dealer in Penang. The funny thing is, they only have a last stock of MTX sw in their shop.

Not knowing that I was recommend to the shop by Malaysia's MTX distributor, the shop owner recommend me a DLS instead! It's a DLS C6A component set. He brags that it is away better than Helix Esprit E6X and MTX CTC-160 and will give a more "european sound" than Helix based on some worlwide championship. Tagged at RM900++.

I hate this. My narrow choice of seletion of speakers now become wider and mostly, the acc shop didnt have any demo car equipped with the speakers that I want to test.

tell the shop that sells DLS...
DLS won the championship based on the top models like scandanavia or ultimate series..
for basic series, no need to brag about it...

as for to narrow down your selections, i guess you have to join TT instead of going to shops... or if you know the shop owner well, try to sit in his customers cars...

i have known shops that said his setup is ampless, the mid bass so 99 punch... customers were impressed...
but during the CD change, there is a slight aeroplane whine...
so I dont actually trust so called demo cars... because it could be the start of the whole spending spree...

99% of demo car are not the same with wat u will get at the end..

Pre-amp: adams digital 7band

Total cost: RM1880

Is it ok for me?

Off topic, anyone can suggest a good place that selling and do installation of Adams Digital brand, HU and speakers?

i dont recall adams digital make HUs too. and really, if you have the budget, consider a better brand

Quazacolt, please elaborate on a better brand. You can ask garykam about the adams, he has some experience listening to it.

Allen ur car sound is better than quaza, except the sub. Adam is not tat bad de la. Dun judge a book by it's cover la.

Heard Adam too. Not bad for the price - 20%, with quality installation lar.

Celaka ks is u make thing burning. The word u put so big summore put red colour. Ks next time u can listen to Allen car. make me quite Surprise leh.

there's so many reputable brands out there being mentioned, any of them could suit your needs.

personally i've heard a few setups while i dont think i've heard yours i just don't think they are worth the time/money
