Yea you can do that. There are a number of apps out there that lets you do this. If you don't wish to JB and use jb apps like iFunBox, you can also purchase software like AirShare, FileMagnet, Files, etc from the iTunes store. You can not only store files but certain apps let you view pdf, word, excel files on the iPhone itself as well.

hi, me again.

i try to restore. when launch itunes it says that,

"The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does noy appear to be supported. Only compatible SIM cards from the supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported Carrier's store to receive a replacement SIM card".

should i remove the SIM card first?

i stuck there but i just proceed with unlocking/JB by devteam as suggested by mr david vader (THANKS A LOT SIR notworthy.gif ). i download, run, install and i dunno what i've done rclxub.gif (but i follow the step suggested in iClarified) then walla.... the phone back to business. The only problem now is the caller id. Since 2 hours ago me trying to download and install openSSH via Cydia. Darn difficult to download this thing. celcom does not provide EDGE as a provider. hence the fastest network speed obtainable (from celcom) on your first generation iphone is tentatively GPRS.

these solutions are available to you:

1. change to another network provider
2. upgrade to the 3G version (where celcom offers HSDPA; not utilisable by the iPhone 3G)
3. bear and sulk with the excruciating slow speed if you decide not to opt for option 1 or 2

Added on November 27, 2008, 2:51 amlegend of increasing speed onwards:

GSM -> WAP -> GPRS -> EDGE -> 3G -> HSPDA

AFAIK, so long there is a GPRS network available, swirlymms should be functional.
