hi,

my first post and it is a problem. just read the thread before n never know i'll face with such problem.

iPhone Generation : 2G 1st gen
Current Firmware : 2.1
iTunes Version : Currently updated to v8.0.1 but problem arise b4 upgrade
Computer Platform : Windows XP
Jailbreaking software : n/a
Problem Encountered : all the numbers went missing. if i press the phone numeric keypad, 1st number appear. press the 2nd number, the 1st one dissapear. the number start in the middle instead from right to left. contact numbers missing, but when they call me the phone can detect who.

Other Info / Remark : help... i can only call those in my recent list only. one more thing, kindly explain the solution in lay man term. i quite confused with those IT term. sorry.

hi, me again.

i try to restore. when launch itunes it says that,

"The SIM card inserted in this iPhone does noy appear to be supported. Only compatible SIM cards from the supported Carrier may be used to activate iPhone. Please insert the SIM card that came with your iPhone or visit a supported Carrier's store to receive a replacement SIM card".

should i remove the SIM card first?

i stuck there but i just proceed with unlocking/JB by devteam as suggested by mr david vader (THANKS A LOT SIR ). i download, run, install and i dunno what i've done (but i follow the step suggested in iClarified) then walla.... the phone back to business. The only problem now is the caller id. Since 2 hours ago me trying to download and install openSSH via Cydia. Darn difficult to download this thing. More than 10 attempts already huhuhuhu....

did... but only certain caller detected... will wait 4 caller id fix 2.2.

hey... download and install at daytime is better ler.... fast fast ler the speed.
