The 1.8inch hd is the same used in the Ipod. DO NOT expect that the HD will improve the speed of the EEE by much. It will be much faster if you can get the SLC SSD. Read thru the 2nd ver and you can see where they can be bought. Beware that they are expensive.

Guys ... wanna ask something aye ....

I'm currently running vista Ulti on my 1000H .... regarding the Hybrid engine... do i use that to underclock my processor or use the batt thingy from vista to underclock it?

if both also work then i would prefer to use the hybrid engine so i no need to click on my task bar to choose what settings i want to use ....

thx guys =)

btw for Vista users ... they have found a solution to fix the ACPI problem =)

my audio buttons by using the Fn keys are working fantastically =)

wooooooot

i cannot sleep.. damn bored.. so decided to play around with my eeepc 900.

this time play with new os.

Windows 7 Ultimate pre-beta edition. Required disc space 7.8gb min.. my eeepc still have 15gb left.. so i create new partition and dual boot together with the preloaded windows xp.

gui more or less the same like vista.. but suprisingly, it is faster and better than vista. Boot time for my eeepc 900 is around 45 sec

here is some pic..

i think thats all for now.. i'll post more images later.

overall im quite suprise with the performance of this new os. even a 900mhz celeron processor eeepc can run it smoothly.
