its xp in a small form (unless of course, if you opt for the linux ones). so if your 6-year-old knows how to operate windows, yes, its a laptop for him. you wouldnt want to waste a dell xps machine on young kids, are you?

is eee pc has USB? and can it connected with 3G datacard modem(Huawei E220)????
i need a small notebook like this, mostly to surfing, do office work(Excel, word etc) and some downloding.........
n im not gamers..........
is it suit me???
now im using Benq S41, but im lazy to bring my laptop anywhere coz really big.
i just need a mobile PC that can be put into my small backpack.....hehehe

Yeap, Eee pc has three USB slots, Card reader, VGA output and LAN port.

1 thing i really love bout my 1000H....

When i use the sleep mode which is available in Vista ...

I could juz close the lid and then pack up, then when i want to use it ... i juz open the lid and press any key on the keyboard then "wah lah" its ready for me to use ....

vista with 1000H = sweet!!!!!!

already survey eee pc at lowyat....
everything seem ok to me, and it suit my requirement..

no cd@ DVD drive/????
how u use to read cd@dvd with this lptop????

yea you have to buy an external DVD or CD rom..


its weird i know, traveling without a CD or DVD rom .... but you will get used to it

Whoah? Theres still people using cd/dvd rom drives on laptop meh?
Most of us only uses thumb drives nowadays.

Well, FYI, the external dvd drive nowadays are slim and lighter in weight, all powered by USB. No longer the bulky type =D
The highest end would be 1000H with 160GB HDD.
Selling at RM1999.
Let me know if you are keen to get it =D

Selling External DVD drive as well, MSI Brand. RM 300.
