Actually those award winning speaker aint too expensive either, like QED Silver Anniversary XT (Product of the Year 2005, 2006 & 2007 awarded by What Hi-Fi Sound & Vision), you can get it for 4.84pounds per meter (around RM25) from http://www.futureshop.co.uk, shipping just around 7pounds, it's what I heard from forumer here who brought from futureshop.
Of course those are without any connector at both end |

rm25 a metre is not a bad price... is there anyone selling them in malaysia? should be cheaper without the shipping costs and stuff.. well, anyway, im satisfied with the stock cables that came with the r1900t3.. i think it's around 16-18awg..

Altec sure the most popular even though it's not the best. Most don't know much about Edifier compared to altec, if not Edifier wins already

of course altec more famous. it's been established way before edifier, and lots of laptops come with built-in altec speakers. maybe edifier should do the same too! maybe u should make speakers for acers, dells, etc. then surely edifier will be famous and dethrone altec!

yes i agree, edifier should make laptop speakers too. or at least some PC or barebone or LCD speaker. so that it written "powered by edifier".
btw new aspire acers are powered by dolby home theater. when using headphone and dolby headphone is turned on (dolby v2), let me tell u creative CMSS3D headphone is no match.... on the other hand, many toshibas are incorporating SRS TruSurroundXT and so on. i must admit, the sound is significantly improved using the software, until i find the ha**ed version and install it on my acer. i wonder, for notebook: dolby + SRS + edifier = ? |

ohh, maybe edifier should go for home theater and hifis too! a cd player, or mp3, etc. they have a 2.1 system with fm radio, no harm adding a cd player. that would be cool as well.

"Edifier?
that is my first impression when I listen Edifier, last 2 years, I wanted to buy a new 2.1 speakers for my PC, my budget is around RM200. The speaker I choose to select from are Altec Lansing vs 4121 Edifier M3400 Edifier M3300 Philips MMS 430 after reading a lot of review, professional and amateur, I decided to take EDIFIER M3400, because its the best overall review I found all review I read talking about how Altec Lansing VS4121 drown its mid. and hard to find bad review for Edifier M3400 I still hesitate though... edifier... then I bought the speaker for RM220, Edifier M3400 of couse, and plug in to my Audigy 2, Deymm it sounds very nice, the sound separation is veeery 'separated', that is the best quality of this speaker, low mid and hi are very clear, I test it with my friends AL VS4121, and I proud that my edifier has tighter bass Edifier takes less time for bass to decay, which is good compare to VS 4121 last 2 month my friend sell AL VS 4121 for RM 70, I bought it, I use both, I make sound comparison almost every day and every day Edifier wins One more good thing about this speaker, if u turn it louder, it sounds better, which some speaker may hurt your ear when played at high volume so now when I see EDIFIER, it not sucks anymore it just a brand that people dont know its quality and think it is sucks, how do I tell the that EDIFIER makes great speaker too and its the best value for money |

QUOTE(predicate undefined @ Feb 9 2009, 11:12 PM) "Edifier? What u rite make me remember myself in the past, when Edifier brand is still new in the market. I used to condem my friend's edifier speaker (i don' remember which model, 5.1 system), I say the speaker bass are distorted and damn intrusive, disturbing, annoying, 'bunyi pecah' and bla bla bla. that is my first impression when I listen Edifier, last 2 years, I wanted to buy a new 2.1 speakers for my PC, my budget is around RM200. All the new models perform at least above average. They make the initiative to seek Hifi expert to help produce near audiophile speakers with very good value. Not only they sound nice, the look are nice too, most of them, especially from the Signature and Lifestyle series. Now I have become the fan of Edifier myself. I never expect that Edifier will be one of the more favoured PC speaker brands. Anyway, congrats to Edifier I wonder when other ppl realized how good is Edifier when compared to Altec? |
