Still got bass la...'0' is default flat setting, want to test how is the flat response...that shopkeeper just non-stop retune to max bass and treble to convince me, WTF, don act smart la, nearly want to scold him...  mad.gif  but even tune to max bass and treble the sound is still decent for me, not overwhelming at all, thats why i like it.

Does it produce a tight bass or is it something like Logitech's z5500's Sub? (Very deep bass, hate it)

How bout the sound clarity?

Ever tried testing it with some acoustic songs? How was it?

Do let me know your opinion and thanks in advance?

tight n deep
deep because it's a 10" sub

hi guys,

need some help and advice. i wanna add a tube amp to my current setup.

current: pc->zero->edifier c3

thinking about: pc->zero->tube amp-> c3

is this possible? will i "corrupt" the SQ? any pros/cons u can think of?

the fact is that i want the amp for my headphones but i do not want the hassle of plugging/unplugging of the rca cables.

thanks...

I think he meant by connecting the speakers directly to the tube amp and leave the C3 amp away
not sure if he meant that hmm.gif

I did another test auditioning both the S730 and the S330.To my ears, S730 wins by the slightest of margins.So, i'm really thinking of getting the S330 or if there are other newer products,then might consider them as well.

Btw, i'm connecting the speakers to my laptop.Should i go for the "D" or not?

your stock soundcard may cause the speaker to sound low quality unless you get an external soundcard
because D's plays the source very accurately.
if the source sounded crappy,Edifier speakers will sound crappy.
I guess that's what make other people say Edifier speaker doesn't have enough bass

if you hear the S730 only wins abit, u might want to check the S530 out. no point getting a huge speaker when the smaller one is enough. better spend the money to get an external soundcard i.e. x-fi surround 5.1 usb or xonar u1.

the laptop has x-fi mb its better than nothing, but still, external soundcard have better hardware than minimalist onboard audio.

as for the D, if your laptop supports digital output then you can use digital connection.

if u're listening to songs which focus on the vocals, the r1900t3 does the job very well... used to have a pair of these speakers, and vocals just sound so sweet on this speaker... not sure about the s530 though...

p/s: saw a white S330D, at sri comp today. smile.gif

i have M3300 in the past i just dont like the subwoofer. M3300 should be fine if you dont mind the subwoofer. if M3300 sat + E3100 sub its perfect.
