Hey guys, i have an old Edifiel R301.I find the sound quality is quite ok/good.I dont really have experience knowing the quality of 2.1 speakers so wanna know whether mine is good quality or not?Planning to buy a new one.

My budget is around RM200.Thinking of buying Armageddon 5.Is there any Edifiel 2.1 better than the A5 around this price?

thx..what about the S and X series?How much are they and the S2.1?

And is the M3300 the best i can get for RM2**?

Yeah i like 'wet' sound Not sure how to say this.There are some speakers with loud sound where the sound is more like spread out wide eg armageddon(more powerful but less clarity) and some speakers with more compact sound(more clarity and treble) like ego,evo.What about the S330?

I came across this..was expecting S730D to totally pawn the GMX2.1 but wtffff its the other way round!!

I seriously thought S330D was better than the GMX2.1 but it pawns the S730D instead

Are there a lot of differences in terms of SQ between S330 and the S730?

I just managed to get to Lowyat today.Auditioned the S330 and it was superb Seems a much better investment than the S730 although the S730 has better bass.

Urghh...the S730's woofer is mega huge But the funny thing is that,i cant really notice the difference between the S330 and the S730.Maybe it was too noisy or there are a lot of other speakers playing or my ears are lousy >.<

Aaahh phew I almost thought my ears rosak jor Kinda hard to audition the speakers anyway ...they should shut off all the surrounding speakers and let us test one by one

I did another test auditioning both the S730 and the S330.To my ears, S730 wins by the slightest of margins.So, i'm really thinking of getting the S330 or if there are other newer products,then might consider them as well.

Btw, i'm connecting the speakers to my laptop.Should i go for the "D" or not?

Laptop connect to Asus Xonar U2 connect to S330/330D

Do i need the digital version?It costs a tad more than without it

If not mistaken, the digital version has a coaxial input right?Other than that no other difference right?

Please enlighten me

It wouldn't have digital input and coaxial if you're buying the non-D version.But of course u can still listen to music but through RCA unless of course if u have digital sources(DTS).Correct me if i'm mistaken
