try lowering the light sensor and light timeout.. i used to set maximum and 60 seconds, but my phone wont last for 2 days.. so i set the light sensor to half, and 5 seconds for the light timeout.. got arnd 3 days..
power saver timeout @ screensaver shud be set to 1 minute, i think that's long enough to wait.. i mean, who sets the screensaver to appear after 30mins?
hmm wish nokia phones got a standy button to turn off the display like O2 phones, that wud definitely save more battery..

My e71 can last me 4 days if ordinary call and sms.
If heavy usage of bluetooth, web surfing+ music + GPS + games
1 day ++

e63 can turn on the flash by pressing the spacebar key for a while even after lock. i wonder if e71 has that sort of function

QUOTE(futra @ Jan 23 2009, 12:16 PM) having many apps running in bground doesnt affect much on battery, depends on what apps ure running.. however it does affect a little bit of ur phone's performance but not too much until ur phone hangs or stops working hehe.. there are softwares to limit usage of apps in bground but i prefer to use the default 'hold the home key and select the apps u want to close/end' method.. some ppl prefer to have certain apps in bground (contacts, logs, camera, etc) so they dont have to wait everytime they wanna use those apps.. but i believe e63 is good at multitasking while preserving battery energy.. thanks for being helpful and informatic

QUOTE(Shafique @ Jan 25 2009, 07:59 AM) I think the small keypad is not really the main problem, but rather the space between buttons - its simply has no space at all. Unlike some blackberry or other smartphones, although their keypad are small they are still easy to be used since there some space between buttons

I just bought the phone yesterday. After one phone call to the seller, the phone arrived 20 minutes after that. Very efficient seller. Cost me 855 for the blue ap set including the delivery charges. As for the phone it is great. Better compared to my previous E61i. I'm now browsing using the phone at sunway piramid while waiting for my wife shopping. Excellent phone !!!

E63 Blue owner here! second qwerty device (first was a p990) would say this phone is quite okay except i'm waiting for the new firmware update...i have the problem where when u connect ur device to pc suite, it won't allow u to access the memory card from the comp and even if u disconnect it later, when u try to open the memory card from the tools folder, it says it's in use. apart from that love it to bits..its way longer lasting den my n82 and in terms of usability, i think i reply smses (long ass one's) in a much shorter time..only complain is the cramped keypad..else ..i love it!

finally the TS is back, great to hear your feedback. i told u missing already.
battery issue no more, i bough another battery. also bough another new 8GB toshiba microSD last week. RM65.00 only from lowyat plaza.
Added on January 26, 2009, 12:22 ami have a bad news here. yesterday i converted 5 video, 2 videos at 3GP files cannot run and only hear sound. because the both files is about 260mb per file.
another 4 files was 60mb earch, no problem at all.
i still remember i have using the same procedure when i convert the video for E61i, and it is fine.
wonder why E63, more advance...but can't work.
