The E63 just broke the shackles of the rumor monger to become Nokia's latest messaging device. With a pre-tax, pre-subsidy price of just €199, Nokia hopes to see the Symbian S60 device generate some mass-market appeal. So let's see: WiFi, physical QWERTY, choice of ruby red or aquamarine blue, standard 3.5-mm audio jack, camera with video recording, and the ability to switch from an E-series business mode (corporate email, appointments, intranet) to personal mode (pictures, personal email, and browser shortcuts) with a single key press -- sounds like a winning combination to us. Nokia's even tossing in 1GB of Ovi file storage for free when the E63 begins shipping in the coming weeks -- where, is Nokia's little secret for now. We'll update you with the hard details just as soon as Nokia releases them. Until then, check the blue version after the break.
Update: We were able to hack forth the following detail from the bowels of Nokia's website: 113 x 59 x 13-mm / 126g form factor, 320 x 240 pixel display, quad-band GSM / EDGE with 660 minute talk / 432 hours standby, microSD memory slot with 110MB internal memory, 2 megapixel camera capable of QVGA video @ 15fps, and of course, Bluetooth. It'll also be released in WCDMA 900/2100, 850/1900, and 850/2100 configurations. Sorry, no HSDPA data or infrared like that found on the E71.

Yep, the Nokia E71 has enjoyed some coverage on The Gadget Blog, but ultimately, I decided to go for the Nokia E63.
From my two-week encounter with a review E71, I’ve determined that the 3.2 megapixel camera wasn’t really worth the count, and while built-in HSDPA capability is great, what’s the point if the coverage needed to maximize it is really lacking?
So the E63 is definitely a much more affordable brother of the E71, and budget pricing usually connotes limited functionality. But, you still have the same awesome keyboard, and a 3.5mm jack that supports standard earphones and headphones.
All for a significant drop in price, a downgrade to a 2.0 megapixel camera (ultimately irrelevant for dedicated camera owners), and 3 more millimeters of thickness. Worthy sacrifices in my opinion, considering the E63 features the same long-lasting battery of the E71, big-screen, and WiFi.

Shud be available here in the first quarter of 2009. Price wise my best bet will be RM1100, well a Qwerty and Wifi smartphone will never go below Rm1k in my opinion. Look at Samsung i550, so long ago released d, without qwerty but got wifi still cost 900+ for ori set. For a new E63 surely more than 1k.
And if talking bout camera and built, of course it loses out to the E71. But on a marginal defeat only. This is meant to target those 20+ year old people who are in the working-class-who-want-to-get-a-smartphone-but-can't-afford-a-good-one category. Here, everything in the E71 is still around, and for work purposes i believe the camera quality can be ignored as u won't be camwhoring yourself at work rite? And without High Speed connection, it still pack the necessary connection protocol, I can't find a place in Malaysia where u can't go online man. ! thing good about it is its plastic will not be a finger print magnet like my E71 which I wipe like every 30 minutes just to keep it shining. It shud also feature the same battery life as the E71.
In my honourable opinion, the real only negative point of the E63 for me is the lack of GPS.
But it comes with s touch-sensitive scroll pad , much to my envy as its not available on the E71.
rm1100 is for ori or ap ? if ap in that price, better get e71 ap then
