my GF e63 suddenly WLAN connection setting is suddenly gone from the main home screen...guest need to update the FW..

wat is the latest update fw guys?
*
I experienced that before.
But it never appear even though I updated my software.

On the other hand, I prefer e63 bcos of their keypad.
It's larger and more comfortable compared to e71.
Their sound system, so far so good. No complain for that

is an external devices, act as GPS router, help you to access to GPS via your phone bluetooth. for my point odf view, not worth to buy this. If you having this E63, and want to own a GPS services, better go buy a GPS devices rather than this external bluetooth gps.

Somehow you are right, but to me, i own a keychain bluetooth gps receiver, I can put in my pocket or hang in my belt or put in my bag, and use my phone to guide me wherever I want. Having an external GPS will save your phone a lot of your battery as compared to nokia E72 or others which have GPS. Using GPS and navigation on a GPS capable phone will drain your battery like water. But, having a two separate things, you can save your battery smile.gif

And besides, bluetooth is such a common and almost all electronics devices are bluetooth capable like the computer. You can also use the gps receiver to connect with your pc and see your position of see your tracking.

Just my opinion to all Nokia E63 owners. I am very proud of my Nokia E63 and does not plan to change my phone for the moment. smile.gif

Welcome. Yes, it is free.

Nokia E63 is a GPS capable phone. Just that Nokia didnt include the GPS chip in it and so Nokia E63 GPS function is there but it is left out. You can go to maps.nokia.com to download the Ovi maps on nokia e63. But, sadly, in order to download it, you need to select your phone model which nokia e63 IS NOT LISTED THERE!!! How sad it is.
But, you can still install ovi maps into nokia e63 by selecting Nokia E66 . brows.gif rclxm9.gif rclxm9.gif . Simply download the installer and install it in your phone. That should work. About the maps, you need to download the ovi suite and from there, you can browse the maps you want.

All in all, Nokia E63 + Bluetooth GPS Receiver = rclxms.gif rclxms.gif nod.gif rclxm9.gif

Free? U meant ovi map free? I am doubt about it. Bcos e63 not listed in nokia free navigation program. That means, e63 not able to support ovi map 3.03. E63 only able to support ovi map 3.0, which is not free version, need to pay when navigate. Unless u are using others GPS application, such as garmin(ahemm version), then we can say it is free.

Well, I am using ovi map 3.01 and it's free. I am also satisfied with the maps updates ovi suite provides.

I dont mind what version it is, as long the map is updated and the software is working, that's all i am looking for biggrin.gif

Yup, I select the nokia E66 model in the maps.nokia.com page, and i successfully installed it in my e63.

And Ovi suites allows me to download the maps smile.gif

and now, i often use the ovi map with my trusty gps rclxms.gif

Added on August 25, 2010, 5:23 pmOops! Sorry, I downloaded the ovi maps version 3.01 from somewhere else.

If you choose the Nokia E66 from the maps.nokia.com, it is verson 3.03 which cannot work in nokia e63.

BTW, i found the version 3.01 link > Nokia Ovi Maps version 3.01
