Needed help here...a part area of my AE86 black color missing when I use maker pen to paint in the defect area...black color area turn into to the white color...what should I do? SOS!!!
*
Try to get a bottle meguaires cleaner wax and try to polish off the black marker ink on the white colour.
Since the white paint surface on the AE86 is similiar to automotive paint it can still stand a little polishing.

Try not too overpolish as it might scratch or cause uneven colour. Just as long as you can polish off the black marker ink with little pressure using a lint free cloth should be good enough.

Good luck bro, hope this tip helps.

oh like that even easier, you gotta re-apply the gloss, go to any DIY shop and buy the auto spa clear coat. this will bring back the gloss on the paint, but of course try it at a small area first, cause i dont know what the reaction of marker pen ink with the gloss will cause.

Since the clear coat is supposedly used after touching up with automotive paint to bring back optimum shine.

i guess DesmondC problem is that he's trying to paint a black surface area using a marker pen, but encounter the marker pen has some sort of chemical that wash out the original black paint, AA AE86 base paint is white.. so he need to paint back the black color. sweat.gif hope this help

quiksilve: wow... u have the scuderia too! i wanna join the spam smile.gif i'm sure you guys have TOP GEAR 2009 Calender, so coincidence this month car feature is F430 Scuderia tongue.gif

myke: Nice prancing horse man, i like the way you use the topgear calendar as backdrop, makes it even more poisonous, that store is actually a hardware DIY shop. perhaps can ask the tamiya hobby shop at the ground floor parking at Basement 1 if they offer custom air brushing service.

jasonist : damn those shots on the Maserati GT makes me wanna get one too.

quiksilve: I'll try and post the 599 pics in a while. Patience. laugh.gif Whoa... Scuderia Elite !

saru88: BBR does not do the F430 Scuderia in 1/18 scale. If you're really into F430 Scuderia, going 1/43 scale will give you a lot more variations and choices. But then again, the good ones like Redline and BBR / Gasoline are quite expensive too. In fact, they are more expensive than the Elite and you can buy two (or even more) Elites with one of 1/43 scale BBR. sad.gif But if you're a hardcore collector, you get to collect quite a bit of race versions of the F430 which is cool. I love racing livery on the F430. Best is F430 GT versions. wub.gif That's what I like about 1/43 scale. But I don't like the price.

JtuneD: Hmmm, the non-Elite Scuderia looks good too. smile.gif

hokuan: Wah... Nice 575 GTZ Zagato two tone colour. biggrin.gif My all red 575M Maranello coming. But don't know when... Anyway, I believe price for the 430 Scuderia Elite is around RM 250 after conversion without shipping cost on ebay.

Jasonist: Yes, used a DSLR for the shots. Looks like the Maserati Grand Turismo is a nice car indeed. smile.gif

myke: What Top Gear calender? sad.gif Wah, looks like EVERYBODY has a Scuderia. @#*$^%*&
