One more exotic car will be joining these gems soon.... clue: a super car that has the word "GT" in it's name tag.
Great collection there. Are you getting Porsche Carrera GT?

Anyway, does anybody know where to get the Ferrari Challenge F430 Modena Cars Racing Champion 2006 Elite Edition item #L7113 ?

Oh no... I'm trying to start the hobby and so much of backlog after many days of not visiting.

Jasonist: Great collection there. How many stories of boxes you have? biggrin.gif Looks like I still have a long way to go...

As for the Reventons, Autoart currently have them in 1/43. But as for 1/18 scale, it just started to trickle in if I'm not wrong. A few weeks ago, you would need to pre-order.

Say, what scale are those black Mercs? They look gorgeous. I'm looking at 1/43 scale 2003 McLaren SLRs in different colours but cannot choose between Minichamps or Autoart. Which would you go for?

REALCollector: Thanks for your earlier reply. The F430 Elite that I posted seems to be quite rare. How much do you reckon HW Elites go for in MY?

Nice Toyota race car collection btw. Bet you would like to have your hands on the Minichamps' road car version of the GT-One? smile.gif Pic not mine.

user posted image

BTW, would you happen to know if EBBRO stall is going to make an appearance in Sepang for the Super GT race?

Kyosho Die Cast: Is there a RHD version of the Kyosho R35? I heard that Kyosho won't be making it... Anyway, I saw that one Ferrari 575 missing fom your cabinet. I beleieve it's the Team GPC Francorchamps #11 version? Was looking at it but bought something else instead.

user posted image

Cheesenium: Don't think there is an R8 made by Autoart. I believe only Kyosho for now.

aurion5: My favourite BMW M sport has got to be the E46. Great shots of the E90 and nice special effects btw.

wei6048866: Yes, the AA R35 has better fittings but interior and engine wise, the Kyosho has a slight edge. They say that when you're in doubt, buy both !

I'm actually hunting for HPI's version of the R35 (1/43 scale). So far very difficult to find. Anybody got lobang? Their Lexus IS-F verion also very cun.

Kyosho Die Cast: Thanks for the reply. Can you PM me best price? Could you also PM me best price for the Black / White 1/18 Kyosho R35?

leroy87: I believe for 1/43 scale, the HPI's are the best. 2nd probably comes EBBRO.

tonkgang: Thnnks for the correction. Yes, there exist a RHD Kyosho GTR. biggrin.gif

REALCollector: Yeah, the R35 from HPI seems to be very limited and VERY expensive for a 1/43 scale. But like you say, the details are there.

Oh, the IS-F from HPI is great. VERY Expensive too. This car ranks about the same as the M3 (in 1:1 scale) in my personal opinion.

Jasonist: Thanks for the reply on your AA vs Minichamps experience. BTW, the photos are not mine. Wish they were... sad.gif Yeah, those angles are very nice. One of the better ones I've come across. Wish I can simulate the same effect. Very envious of your Merc collection !#*%@$

jay8393: Yeah, HPI seems to be a newcomer to the diecast scene and by the looks of it, they're very good at it. I'm waiting to get some of their Mazda / Porsche Le Mans line since AutoArt's version of the Mazda 787B is virtually non-existant.

myke: Yeah, the R35 is very handsome / pretty / sexy at the same time in front of the camera. smile.gif If Autoart, Minichamps or Kyosho makes a 1/12, I'll sure make space for it ! LOL

Pentastation: I guess that's why we are into this hobby. Buy miniature versions of the 1:1 scale car you cannot buy. LOL

Jasonist, I find the shut-lines of the Kyosho M5 a little worrysome especially aterflipping back and forth it the real 1:1 car. If you did not picture your 1/18 M5 with the box, I woud have thought it was from Maisto ! No fault of the owner though.

Sad that Minichamps or Autoart does not make 1/18 scale M5. With Autoart, I guess the reason why most of their cars are sealed is it automatically solves the shut-line problem. Your earlier post made me realise that you probably would need a German manufacturer to make a German car. smile.gif From wha I see, the Minichamps M3 E46 GTR is excellent.

I believe the 1st photo is a noise / camera problem making the paint job looking blotchy. I'm actually more concerned about the shut-lines. Front is ok but the back looks is Maisto quality.

Jasonist, very nice red M3. I believe this is the first time I see the Melbourne Red flavour and it's not offcially available from Kyosho but only available through BMW dealer. Nice.

Anyway, don't think it's E90. Should be E92 instead.

Holy $#^$%& myke... Where did you get the Reventon? Down south SG? Berapa harga?

subaru22b, wah suspense !

Ok, now my time to racun ! Today I received something that I've been waiting for a while. Seemed like eternity. No pics though but I'll give some clues... biggrin.gif

The 1:1 car has the following specs; V8 engine screw type supercharger with 5439 cc displacement. Engine power output 460kW at 6500rpm. Torque = 780 Nm at 3250rpm. 0 to 100km/hr acceleration is 3.8 seconds. Top speed 334 km/hr. Wheel base = 2700mm. Total length = 4656mm. Annual cars built per year = 500

That's all for now. LOL

myke: Premium prices you're paying ! I usually try to get them cheaper elsewhere. BTW, a little more hint ! The car is a German make. biggrin.gif

LH_430Scuderia: Try and get Minichamps version of the Carrera GT. Better detail and heavier.

Let me know if you're interested in getting the R34. I'm getting some other stuff and waiting for reply if they can find the R34.

BTW, some EBBROs landed today. biggrin.gif It went missing for about close to 2 weeks. Luckily got to know about it by contacting and getting the tracking number from the supplier. Stupid Pos Malaysia said they attempted twice to deliver but I never receive any card or notice. The shipping address is to my office and I'm perplexed as to how they cannot find anybody to receive the package on a working day...

myke: Ebay is my best friend. LOL. I think I'm almost broke and exceeded my quota for the year already ! Agree that Poslaju is more efficient and faster. But more expensive than normal registered post. I still have one or two packages that I can see it arriving at the post office from online tracking but it's still not delivered after 1 week plus there ! WTF? What are they doing???

Heheh, I'll try and post some teaser pics. Need to reinstall apps since my comp crashed. Meantime, just google lah the car length and you can already find the answer ! biggrin.gif
Oh, BTW for this particular car, the package came unexpectedly as I could not even trace it online and it came at my door step. Wonderful and strange at the same time.

Jasonist: Agree that the white Z4 Coupe from AA is a stunner. I've been eyeing it since it came out but alast I think I'm already broke for this year ! sad.gif

I'll try to post some teaser pics once I get my PC sorted out and I'm sure you'll know what car and where it's made from. BTW, it's in the similar two door shape as the Z4 Coupe. biggrin.gif

BTW, our Kastam will sometimes tahan packages at random. And if they find your package suspicious or more than RM 500 in value, they'll tahan. My camera stuff always kena tahan and I have to go to Kastams at LCCT to clarify that cameras stuffis duty free !

Cheesenium: Like what Jasonist mentioned, there's a "decaled" version of the Z4 Coupe from AA in Red Bull livery.

There's also another Team Schubert one with black and white decals.

user posted image

Perhaps not soo attractive than the plain white Z4. There's also a 1/43 scale Z4 Coupe with Petronas decals from Cararama. I think I've seen this brand selling in Carefor / Giant / Tesco. Cannot recall.

user posted image

Some real world pics of the Petronas Z4 Team Synthium...

Well, sometimes there's just something about plain colours on sports cars. It brings out the attractiveness of the flowing curves, lines and sexiness of the car. Especially when they are in white.

Anyway, my plain red Minichamps M3 GTR just came in today together with 3 other packs that we sangkut at GPO ! rclxm9.gif shakehead.gif

quiksilve: Nice start ! Whoa... You also Subaru fan? shocking.gif Congrats on the purchase. The R35 and the Reventon are one of the sought after cars. Well, the debate on the AA vs Kyosho R35 goes on and on. AA has better bonnet opening and shut-lines while Kyosho has better interior fittings. I believe the AA did not do the colour of the door handles correctly like Kyosho?

I guess by spray painting the wheels to gun metal, you get the best of both worlds. biggrin.gif

myke: Somebody pointed out that Kyosho came out with the RHD models already.

subaru22b: Wah you really Subaru kaki. I have some Mazda Le Mans series coming. Planning to shoot them together. smile.gif

BTW, yeah... The box is a CMC. drool.gif Given enough clues already. LOL

Almost forgot to post today's haul taken rom the phone... sweat.gif

BTW, the green box is my most PRECIOUS ! drool.gif brows.gif

From the size of the boxes and the way they pack, you'd know which ones come from HK, EU and US. The best is from US. They pack the stuff into huge boxes and generous amounts of peanut paddings regardless of the size of the contents. But the down side is the cost of shipping. Slightly more expensive.

REALCollector: Your postings inspire me to collect Japan Super GT cars. But I'm trying to collect 2008 models at the current moment. BTW, I'm trying to locate the Petronas Toms SC430 high and low and but no luck... sad.gif

myke: It's not really the modified 722 edition but close... The original Mercedes McLaren SLR as CMC calls it. smile.gif Some camera phone shots when I received it last week.

user posted image

user posted image

Anyway, if you're willing to pay AA's prices at MCE, it's no problem getting the RHD version on ebay.

Jasonist: Yeah, surprisingly for a cheap Cararama brand, the livery created looks quite good. Hopefully AA or Minichamps follow suite on the Petronas version.

Well, the Xanavi Nismo GTR I got is the 2008 Champions edition. So they got the casing printed with both drivers' signatures.

Talking about Super GT and Z4 Coupe, there's actually a Z4 racing in the GT300 class under the Studie GLAD Racing team. The livery is no too bad though. Very Japanese. smile.gif

quiksilve: I happen to get HPI's Subaru Impreza WRC 2006 Japan and Subaru Impreza WRC 2006 Monte Carlo #5. It should be on it's way with some other stuff. Will post something when I receive it.

saru88: Thanks. The details of the McLaren is a sight to behold indeed. It beats BBR models anytime. Yeah, the R35s are from EBBRO. I believe the R35 has 3 different trim levels... The following is what I copied off the internet;

GT-R
- Dunlop Sport Tyre
- Crome Colour Coat Rays Forged Aluminium Wheel
- Fabric Seat

GT-R Black Edition
- Bridgestone Potenza Run-flat Tyre
- Black Crome Colour Coat Rays Forged Aluminium Wheel
- Fabric Seat

GT-R Premium Edition
- Bridgestone Potenza Run-flat Tyre
- Dark Chrome Colour Coat Rays Forged Aluminium Wheel
- BOSE Sound System
- Thacham Cat1 Alarm
- Leather Interior

Wah... Those are the Snap On's Professional tool set ! Nice nice. biggrin.gif How much did you get it for? I was looking for the HotWorks Garage too...

REALCollector: EBBRO is going to have a field day for next year's models. So many nice livery for 2009. Pokai. sweat.gif

It's been 3 years since my last visit to Super GT. Every year got something on. This year I'll be somewhere on Sunday. So if I go also I can only go Friday / Saturday. sad.gif

Jasonist: Yes, you and myke have very sharp eyes. Myke detected the CMC box while you can see the CMC cleaning cloth. BTW, the cloth is no big deal. Just like a spectacles cloth with CMC name printed on it.

Well, my next target? smile.gif AA's Mazda 787B and Minichamps's Carrera GT.

myke: Yeah, great idea to have the classic 300SLR driven by Stirling Moss which the McLaren SLR was modelled after. That one isalsoa beauty. But now bo liu liao. cry.gif

user posted image

Anyway, EBBRO has only 4 colours for the Black Edition. Strange that there's noBlack for the Black Edition from EBBRO.

Yeah, HPI is the darkhorse of the 1/43 scale diecast world at the current moment. Their GTRs are TOP class. The Lexus IS-F is also very cun. Yeah, very pricey but some online shops sell some of their not so famous models very cheaply. Even more cheap than IXO / Minichamps /AA range. No idea on the quality but from what I read and seen about the Le Mans series, they are excellent in terms of details. Evencomes with a nice box to display the nice opening engine details ! Will get back to you on that once I receive them.

saru88: The Snap On tools you have the professional one. The one in the link is a set that comes with just essential tools.

As for which version of the GTR, look at the colour of the rims.

quiksilve: Yes, the SLR is one of my all time favourite cars alongside the McLaren GTR F1, the Mercedes CLK GTR, the Ferrari F430 and of course the Enzo. Planning to get 1/43 scale of the SLRs.

For the McLaren GTR F1, I think the only good ones are from Minichamps 1/12 scale ! sweat.gif The CLK GTR also the same. Good one is the AA's 1/12 or 1/18. Perhaps I would need to be contented with just getting 1/43 scale instead for these cars. sad.gif

subaru22b: Yeah, I don't mind if you can intro your friend. If the price is right, why not... smile.gif

Yeah, the CMC SLR is nice. One of my priced collection. All in all, the price I paid came to about twice the price of a normal AA 1/18. Well, slightly more if you consider the price you paid for your 787B. Will get some photos of it.
