Strange... Where did you get your car, quiksilve? Do you still have the box? What number does it say? 530071802? From the baseplate, I take that it's from the MP4-22 2007 Showcar. But your car is MP4-23 ! Looks like you got a Team Edition MP4-23 car in a 2007 Showcar box...

Because for Hamilton, I think there's only one variant of the MP4-23 in 1/18 by Minichamps which is the Team Edition. Three variants of the MP4-22 (1st Win Canada, Team Edition 2007 and Showcar 2007) and 1 variant for the MP4-21 (Silverstone 2006 1st roll out). Only the Team Editions have the carboard box like myke's.

Mine is the MP4-23 2008 version, not 2007. here is a picture of the box serial hehe.

aurion: once again nice outdoor shots on the R8... i suppose KK sure has lots of great places for outdoor shots... the sea side view itself is considered stunning oredi... talking bout R8, theres a Suzuka Grey coming its way... saw it in Jacky's Motorsport website... super poison!!! suzuka grey is the special color offered by Audi... it looks like pearl white effect but this one looks perfect with darker wheels...

Kiloweya: thanks for the valuable info... n i have to agree with u, light and heat will definitely harm diecast easily... so its better to open the cabinet door from time to time in order to let the diecasts 'breathe'... coz the air inside the cabinet is hotter than we expect...

quicksilve: Your outer box serial number seems to correspond correctly to the MP4-23 Team Edition car. I may be wrong lah but I thought the 1/18 scale MP4-23 comes only in this box... I believe similar to myke's.
