aurion great car biggrin.gif how much is ur reventon ?? is it limited ?? y its 0/20 ?
*
Hello, Jackygwh. The Reventon is about RM450 after conversion. It's not a limited model. Why is it 0/20. It's because for the 1:1 cars, There are actually 21 units of this car worldwide. Lamborghini is keeping one of them in their museum which is this unit 0/20. Cars 1 to 20 are delivered to customers.

Hey, post some pics of your mod when you're done. smile.gif
hayashi86: I get my EBBRO stuff online. The latest Super GT cars available from EBBRO is only from 2008. Even that, I believe only the GT500 cars and only some of the GT300. Anyway, I was just starting to collect them until I got sidetrack a little with some other stuff. smile.gif

For 2009, you need to wait next year unfortunately. They cannot do so fast. But the 2009 Super GT cars should be very interesting indeed. smile.gif
*
You don't have to wait untill next year for the 2009 #1 Motul Nismo GT-R... it's gonna release soon... As for many of the 2009 GT500 cars, you can get them in second half of 2009... whereas GT300 will be slightly after Ebbro completed their GT500 production... I'm waiting for the 2009 APR Corolla Axio too... I guess it's gonna selling like hot cakes too.... have to pre-order early.

Myke: I can't resist and nearly broke my personal record again!!! doh.gif
Talking about the Aston Martin DBR9. I think car #009 was one of Leman ICON cause it smoked the Corvette last year and won the Le Mans 24
HR GT1 class... Unfortunately Aston Martin factory didn't field any DBR9 this year in GT1 class (excludes privateer teams which unable to
compete with the factory backed Corvettes)... Thereby allowing the Vettes grab the top three podium in 2009 race... Now I hope the DBR9 will stop the Corvettes from dominating the FIA GT - one of the top MC12 driver, "Thomas Biagi" just joined team Luc Alphand Aventures (C6R)... Let's see how Nissan backed GT-R up against these world class racing cars...

Yeah awesome fish lips, those who have it are real lucky drool.gif been looking for one too haha.

prodigy5031: Nice 1:24's, especially the nismo rims on the GT-R34. Great method to take pics, on the roof of the car eh rclxms.gif

aurion: Yeah ill post more once i get my room all cleared up. Sleek looking reventon and snap-on kits btw, keep it up !

REALCollector: Your knowledge on GT cars are insane , from jgtc to FIA GT. How bout DTM, ALMS, BTCC, WTCC ? You into that as well ?
2 bad the GTR dint do too well on its 1st appearance in FIA GT 1st round, its wheel came off half way during the race haha. I think due to drifting it at every corner.

- Thanks mate! in fact I got hooked up by JGTC way back in 2004 when I watched the 30 min, preview on Astro SuperSports...still can recalled that Denso Supra driven by favorite driver "Manabu Orido", now the No.1 driver of RACING PROJECT BANDOH ~ IS350....

Yeap! besides that I'm too following the DTM races - My favorite driver is Timo Scheider, - In general, I love Audi race cars. It's kindda sad that the R15 lost against the 908 FAP HDI in LMP1 recent Le Mans race.. hope they will comeback stronger next year.

WTCC - Not quite following the race - but I'm supporting Yvan Muller...
ALMS - Nope at the moment...

LM - my fav

F1 - So boring this year due to Brawn GP domination....

..This are basically what make my collection rolling by following these racing series....

my 1st photoshoot actually.. tongue.gif

i would like to know..for hotworks model, is it ok if we put it on a car dashboard?
i mean it didn't become melt especially at its mirror or tires.

i plan to put it on my dashboard, but afraid it will become melt, just like my 1:64 hotwheels..
try it on my 1:24 Bburago Lamborghini reventon..so far so good..nothing bad happen..

REALCollector: Oh Denso Supra driven by Orido drool.gif He even tunes and make parts for the supra itself ! Yeah Bandoh IS350 is hot.

Eh Timo is leading in DTM right now am i correct ? Crazy looking audi A4 DTM cars, super widebody and those canards shocking.gif can cut ppl in pieces man.

Le Mans i abit blur blur haha. WTCC, Gabriele Tarquini for me ! ALMS white widebody bmw M3's look good thou you should take a look. F1 is plain boring now zzz.

Too bad i only collect 1/18 if not ill be broke, too many to buy ...

prodigy5031: I think not advisable to put on top of our 1/1 cars. Our weather is just crazy and will melt the tires. Dosent matter what brand that diecast is from, unless just rain and you wipe off the water b4 taking photos. Even some collectors have melting tires even thou displayed inside thier home.

prodigy5031: we normally dont encourage placing a diecast collection inside a car, as our humid & hot weather oredi causing the paint deterioration issue...imagine inside a car under the hot sun sweat.gif ..if they dont melt, they will crack in time i guess..

aurion: very posion! your pics must have lure some forumer here laugh.gif did you detailed up the rims? i saw something different..great job

REALCollector: thanks for highlights! now i know which car to get biggrin.gif mind to give us more hints of your record breaking collection? drool.gif i heard you're in oversea, must be something BIG!

Haha, myke. Should I take it as a compliment? tongue.gif. I didn't do anything to the rims. They are still the standard rims with the standard CF blades. Just came back with some photos of some outdoor night shots of the fella and a few other cars. These are some outdoor pictures of Ramone the Lamborghini Reventon, for your viewing pleasure. Enjoy. Outdoor shots of Aaron the Audi R8, Carlos the BMW M6 and William the BMW M5 will be posted soon!

REALCollector: awesome! waiting for ur posts on the latest hauls... btw where u in currently?

quiksilve: ur aston model has been sold out long long time ago... especially when its numbered 007, makes it a more valuable collection piece! thumbup.gif

aurion: goodness me! another aa Reventon collector!!! drool.gif nice attempt on the outdoor shots... i oso hope can grab this one and add into my collection... then the Bburago one can put on top of my car dashboard... laugh.gif

prodigy5031: thanks for sharing the pics... the first pic is nice... did u put some additional touches on the pic? looks great! and yup, its not recommended to put diecast cars especially the detailed ones (such as hotworks models) on the dashboard... not only will melt the tyres but will also spoil the bodywork due to long term exposure of sunlight and heat accumulated inside the car... the body color may fade and worst of all, bubbling due to constant temperature changes... nod.gif

Baronzemo: haha no doubt Real Collector has unlimited knowledge of race cars in his head... anything about racing can juz seek for his views! biggrin.gif

Thanks, Jaonist. You can try ordering online, though I got someone to hand-carry mine all the way from Hong Kong. You should add this to your collexione. No doubt that it is alot better than the Bburago, there again, this AutoArt fella also has it's defects here. Ramone here had a problem of his front hood and side flaps staying up but was easily fixed by taking him apart.. Will try to do something to my Bburago one as well.. this calls for one thing... MOD TIME!!!! tongue.gif

just want to share with u guys... my dad was a chemist and he gave me a couple of books about polymers a few years back (so what the hell does this gotta do with die cast collecting?... wait wait) so there is one chapter that talks about polymer degredation.. so it seems that polymer goes to certain changes from one time to the other.. this changes is called ageing. so ive heard a lot of diecasters have problem with thier tires melting..(see science does have something good in it right?).. since that rubber (or synthetics) degrade what you can do is is to dellay the process by making sure that the polymers are not in contact of three things which are HEAT, LIGHT and CHEMICALS..

the melting tires are called depolymerisation which means that the structural composition of the tyre itself is breaking where the protien seept through the chemical bond making the tire lose their elasticity
(plese correct me if im wrong.. im no chemist..)

bummer right?

( one more thing... there are shoes with POLYURETHANE sole.. if you buy this SH&T be ready to wear them all the time sinse that PU tend to age fast whe not worn...when PU age it is spectacular... it breaks down like sponge cake... there are PU soles with new chemical compound that stops/rememdy much of this aging... but who are we to know... off topic a bit)

RealCollector: Respect your knowledge on racing cars. notworthy.gif Collecting diecast, I'm aquinted with different racing scenes around the world. Before this, it's only F1 and Super GT. Now, I'm interested in Le Mans and DTM and various other endurance races. Love the F430 GT race cars. As for DTM, I just got Bern Schneider and Mikka Hakkinen's 2007 AMG Merc in 1/43. Also got a Bern Schneider in 1/18. For Le Mans, I've started to collect a few variants of the 1/43 scale Mazda 787B (1/18 scale #55 still eludes me cry.gif ) and the Porsche 956. I'm targetting the C9 Mercs next. Also got 1 sole #7 Peugeot 908 FAP HDI in 1/18. As for F1, yeah, it's currently boring at the current moment but that does not stop me from collecting past McLaren series.

aurion: Handcarry direct from HK and still so expensive? I thought should be cheaper? Anyway, how come your cars also guy's name? No feminine name? smile.gif

prodigy5031: Wahlau... The R34 and the 350Z taking a lunch break? smile.gif

Kiloweya: Good info. Just wanna ask for those 1/43 scale, how do you turn the tyres for those that cannot turn?

Nemesis: That's some cool mod on the RX-7. rclxms.gif
