kitten umur 1 bulan, bersamaan dengan 5-6 bulan umur kita (which is tadika gitu lah).

want to know why? on average - human baby start growing teeth at the age of 5-6 months (p/s some earlier, some later, but 5-6 months is the average).

so this reflects to kitten, kitten start to teething at the age 1 months where u can start seeing white color thing on their gum.

so can you get the rough idea about cat age and human age?

KP, after doing 1 year of study and research on cat genetic (base on fur length), i have come out with answer...

last time you said u don't know why oren is semi long because you adopted him right? from my research, it is obviously he is mix of long hair. but not both parents are long hair. one of the male or female must be long hair, and another one short hair. the the outcome you will get some short hair kitten and some short hair with bushy tails.

semi long hair on the other hair, and slightly long fur than oren.

if, male/female long hair + male/female short hair (memang asal bulu pendek - other word pure kucing kampung), = kitten will be short hair, and short hair with bushy tail.

ok.. now let say OREN kahwin...so now OREN is short hair with bushy tail, dia secara tak langsung ada membawa genetik bulu panjang dalam badan dia, which is from his father (example), bila OREN kahwin dengan betina yang berbulu panjang, potential outcome will get long hair, and akan still ada short hair with bushy tail or short hair like british short hair pun coat (pendek but tebal).

from my research and study, on average kitten male akan dapat long hair, or at least bushy tail. while most female kitten yang datang dari hasil kahwin campur akan dapat short hair, and very less of them with bushy tail.

p/s this is the current result of my research, it may change from time to time.. i know 1 year of cat research is not enough it can be fact, it can be kebetulan.

p/s i have no guarantee of this. PLEASE DON'T TRY THIS METHOD AT HOME! i'm just sharing the information and knowledge, not asking u people start breeding, unless you all ready untuk menimang cucu

i can't really remember, kalau tak silap betina RM150,so jantan should be less than that. and that's include 1 night stay.

sorry to hear about that feline flu. it can be dangerous if no early action.

what virus anyway? the name of the virus?

the doc vaccinated the 6 weeks kittens just now..dunno why.. ==> eerrkk the age 6 weeks is your estimation or the correct age? if estimation, the vet might detect that your kitten is more than 2 months (they detect it by looking at the teeth, and weight).

the first vet maybe:
- did not know how to check and guess the roughly age.
- or, vet tu tak berani nak vaccine because the kitten is sick.
- they asking you to bring in another 2 weeks time, because of your estimated age (which they don't know how to check), and maybe to wait for your kitten cure from sick then vaccine.

the second vet:
- maybe they have much experience in handling kittens. so when u always handle and care for kitten, automatic you can know the age.
- most feline flu cases, require to be vaccine immediate (that why the 2nd vet do it). because feline flu consist one of the virus that only vaccine can slow down/kill.
- im pretty sure the vet check everything, and conclude that, your kitten is healthy just just other kitten, just that he/she carry flu (feline flu).


Just like FIP/FIV its very hard to detect if they have this virus, unless u diagnose with medical check up. because the cat with this virus will still be like normal healthy cat.

since you already went to SECOND VET today, don't go to any third, fourth, fifth.

why? because the 2nd vet vaccine your kitten today. so you need to give sometimes for that vaccine to do its job towards the kitten. if you bring to other vet tomorrow, it won't give any changes because im sure other vet won't dare to give medicine or inject anything if the kitten is vaccine today.

kalau betul that 5 months old kitten kena feline flu, it will effect other kitten yang belum di vaccine.

you should have ask what injection he give to your kitten.

it is very important to know all this. masuk keluar vet does not mean 100% terus ok.

i might be alil bit "not cool" to the vet because i will ask them to write down on another paper what they have written in my cat medical book. or i will ask them to photocopy it and give it to me before i pay. and will always ask for receipt bill with full description of they they charge and the medicine given.

i have gone through like you last time. sampai 4 vet, and the kitten i resuce end up dying. imagine 4 vets.. not all vet is good.. not all vet know about cats.. not all vet confident with what they are doing.

from my point of view, i dont think he injected vaccine again.. mungkin it was a booster.

kalau in western country booster is also the same thing as vaccine. which sometimes abit confusing. booster can also be injection untuk menguatkan vaccine yang di beri.

what ever it is, i put it as, vaccine is vaccine, booster is penguat something like supplement.

try to give ayam rebus.. u buy bahagian dada, then rebus dengan air kosong saja... rebus kejap je, jangan lama2 sampai kering daging tu...

then cincang2 halus halus, bagi dia makan. sup tu dia dia minum bila dah sejuk...

try dont feed kibbles tu dulu.. see if improve or not..

yea bagi ayam rebus dulu.. since your cat is demam, dia mungkin tak selera or rasa mual makan eaglepack holistics (produk2 makanan kan tinggin in proten & fat, sbb tu rasa muak bila makan - if demamlah).

toyogo tu kena dua org buat. lukis dulu bentuk dia.. jangan rendah sgt, nanti pasir terkeluar. then kalo dah lukis 4 segi tu, tebuk line tu with driller.. mungkin 4-5 lobang for each lines. then guna pisau yang kuat, jangan guna pen knife..

i pun found out the fussie cat litter kadang2 clump, kadang2 clump but tak keras. first i though there's must be problem with that brand.

but lepas pikir2 balik, i found that, yg clump (lembut macam pasir) is the new pee.. else kalau yang lama baru keras clumping dia. so kebetulan yang kita cedok tu dia the new pee, so dia tak keras betul lagi.

another thing, kalo kucing kencing but tak cover kencing dia dengan pasir, it wont be as hard as the one yang kena cover.

tips is, bila you nak cedok pee to, move your litter to the left and right. example, when u mengiring kan ke kanan, pasir kan ke kanan but it will leave the clump on the left right.. so baru u cedok. jangan cedok bersama pasir yang bagus lak.. nanti bila clump tu pecah, dia jadi bercampur. after u cedok the pee on left, then u move the box to the left pula, and all pasir go to the left, and cedok the pee on the right. (not sure if u faham ke tak, i bet you pun buat cara ni kan).

kurang sihat. semua kucing akan lalui benda ni. even my cats, throughout the year, mesti akan kena. duduk siam (yang ala ala kesejukan), tak ada mood, kurang makanan, diam jee sepanjang hari. but after 24-48 hours dia ok balik macam biasa. you need to find ways to make him eat. like the boiled chicken

yea its very important to stick to 1 vets, because u have all your cats record and health history in the same place. and very important to find the vets u trust the most.

how to gain trust? easy... ask lots of question, make sure they answer it perfectly, rather than "uhmm.. uhmm", "i think..." or "maybe...." eheheheh

after you get their answer, go back home, and start doing research with google. and see if your vets has similar answer to what google search.

the only best way is to visit your vet, macam "mizeily" buat.

behavior prediction is hard... different cats different style..

your BSH, ever meet any cat or stay with other cat before?
if yes, then he might not have problem.... since he is also neutered, so they are more calm.
if not, he might get shock at first, but will slow down later (but may not)...

most situation there will be no problem occur to long for male vs. female..

but again its very hard to predict. i have 15 cats, and they are all different style and attitude.. so.. that's mean "the never ending story"
