Gosh! Seriously you need to visit vet. if you see toys!!! oh my!!! your cat stomach might end up blocking, stop digesting food, and also maybe that toy will scratch the internal body and cause internal blood / wound.

if nothing hard inside the body, then it might be chemical causes from the toys. check all his toys, and see if there is any spoil hard part like plastic, screw, etc.

if none of it related to hard parts of toys... then...

Kitties are very sensitive creatures and it is possible that Precious may have been upset at your absence. However, vomiting is not something that is usually caused by this, it is the result of other factors, such as:

  # Rapid ingestion of dry food and water
  # Itchy skin causes cats to lick their hair off...leads to hair ingestion
  # Intestinal blockage or a low fiber diet
  # Hyperthyroidism
  # Decreased Kidney function
  # Inflammatory bowel disease (YOUR KITTEN MAY HAVE THIS)
  # Intestinal lymphoma
  # Worms/Intestinal Parasites (YOUR KITTEN MAY HAVE THIS)
  # Liver disease
  # Chronic Pancreatitis

I stated YOUR KITTEN MAY HAVE THIS, from the previous problem which is blood in stool.

but yet, the others might be possibil

you need to call your vet, or just visit them again to follow up.

again vomiting is not a good sign too. since vomiting involve internal part of the body, any of this faulty, things going to be serious. it's not like if it is external problem, no legs, no tails, cat can still survive. but internal, it's hard.

not to scare you, but please call and visit your vet.
*
I went to visit the vet this evening, just got back actually, and the vet said it is because of the feather, some might have still be inside his stomach, and since the food that came out is already digested (I actually took a picture of the vomit and showed to the vet), so the problem is around the stomach and the intestine area. So the vet gave me 3 meds including this one med called Laxatone , but anyway, I cant give the med not until he eats, the vet even said for me to stop feeding dry food and change to wet food. I bought this wet food brand called sumo cat, quite a number of them, but he seems like not interested to eat at all! How can i make him eat?? Have to force like babies eh?

Actually I stopped the first medication since Tuesday, and he was okay since but I think this new problem came right after he swallowed the feather! Huhu. Got him the dewormed medication last week so the worm problem should be solved already la eh? The stool was okay the whole week, so it should be okay lah right?

Usually cat like wet food more than dry food. Maybe he suddenly change food make him dont eat awhile. if he really don't eat for like 2-3 days den u should bring him go vet again because he will die in hunger. At least if u bring him to vet they will give him "gantung air" to prevent him hungry till die.

hi guys,i wanna ask a question here..but before i ask,i wanna apologize for this question.maybe this question is too simple for u all..but im not a person who simply ask the question before reading the whole thread, but now im desperately dont have much time to read it.furthermore u guys really have such a fast growing thread,v4 already and 100 page sweat.gif ..i apology because sometimes some senior forumers didnt like someone new like me to ask the same and basic question n make them tired to answer the same things..so i apology first for my weakness..im here to ask u guys,i keep my friends cat temporarily for a few day..but this big guy has some problem,he lose hair at some part of his body..and his left eye quite watery and cannot open very well..i ask my fren about it,she said she just buy him from someone who cannot look after him anymore because sympathy to him..and his condition already like this..i suspect he lost some of his hair because of his diet, because the skin quite healthy..but wanna ask u guys first.and somemore, this fella really scare to people la,i suspect he got abused before..ok,this is picture of his hair..sorry for the long post..

male right... hmmm

any other part beside the stomach/body? maybe like tail, under tail, near the private part, back legs? if yes, possibility he is suffering from RINGWORM... or this tiny parasite. unless if he is negative from fleas.

QUOTE
The most recognised sign your cat is infected with ringworm is circular patches of hair loss, especially around the head & limbs (although it can occur on other parts of the body also). Other signs are grey, patchy areas of baldness, with or without redness & itching, seborrhea sicca (a type of dandruff), dry/flaky skin, onychomycosis (infection of the claw &  clawbed).

you need vet for future treatment, it can be other parasites attack. before it turn out bad, do it now.

yea if the stool is ok, should be ok.

now the problem he don't want to eat. so no stool ehehe.. do he drink? hopefully yes...

yeap you need to force him eating like baby. else, bila nak sembuh dari sakit kan. you just roll some of the wet food into round shave, or take alil bit, open his mouth and put it around the teeth/gum, he will lick it later.

Ubikeledek,
U may try this food. Easy to pump. Use a syringe (without needle) and pump from side of the cat's mouth and make sure u pump it on the tounge and let the cat swallow it.

Attached ImageAttached Image

Make sure u give enough water. At least 200-300ml per day. If not, u gotta bring it to the vet for IV fluid to prevent it from dehydration.

Dehydration can kills the sick pet faster sad.gif

how do you know if it is mites bites anyway?

you cannot see ticks, mites, ringworm..

you can see lice on fur if you good eyes..

you can see fleas clearly..

normally what bites are fleas. they suck on the blood. it will look like mosquitoes bites. ringworm will look like skin rashes. others, you can really see and feel.

Clean your home. frequent vacuum if you have carpet. else wash your carpet. wash your mattress cover as frequent as you can. Possibility "HAMA" what makes you gatal2, and it can go to human and cats too. Normally hama will look like ruam on your skin. Your mattress, you can spray with fabreze, or serai wangi (can get this at hyper marker). You can also buy this thin comforter which is suitable to avoid hama... i got mine at Jusco, at the bed section - white color, got hama pic on it grey color.

your kitten is not fully recover now. so better don't spray frontline first. i'm afraid he cannot handle the stress. he is sick, stress because go out and in the vet. so continue force feeding, medicine, and rest first.

You can get Hill's prescription canned food at the vet. it's special one, that is why, it is not in the petshop. A/D is good for unhealthy cat, it is well balance, so your cat won't feel vomiting if it is too much protein and fat. its like us, eating bubur when demam, instead of kari.

to confirm if it is ringworm or not, your need to visit vet. they will microscope your cat fur and skin to see if there is any ringworm. also with that under blue florescent light to confirm ringworm or not.

if it is ringworm, normally vet will give your this special cream to put on the patches. and with Griseofulvin (some use other tablets). Also, vet will ask you to bath the cat with special fungal shampoo.

if still not working, they maybe will shave off all the fur.

lastly still not working, will vaccine. vaccine type sometimes fail, to 50-50 chances to cure.

thought it was the hama too, but then what wonders me is i got another few extra bites while i was out to the vet. hurm, nevermind will do another spring cleaning of the house. the bites on my skin (mainly at my arms) looked like the mosquito bite with a dot in the middle. maybe it's not a dust mite or bed mites, googled the picture and it was diff. surely the flea or somekinda bug! it just happened last 2 days though. haih, too many things happened in a few days. how can he get the flea since he's just staying indoor? shud it be possible he might have it before i got him?

my poor kitten, vomited again an hour after the force feeding and medication. the vet did say that he might still vomit again and it will take him a few days to react to the meds, but how will he have the strength with an empty stomach? i myself have already started to frustrate now, but i know i cant give up!

weird.. my kitten don't like wet food, he prefer his dry science plan better. maybe he's not used to the new food eh? btw, a bit relieved now coz he wants to eat by himself already this afternoon! this morning i force fed him : blend the wet food so that it would be easier to feed with syringe (still havent got the hill's one yet, but alternatively blend the current one i have). tried to give him the wet food but he don't want to eat at all, so i add a bit of his dry food. it's okay right to mix them?

now he's already jumping2 like crazy like he used to! i wish he would just rest for his sake, but what to do a kitten will always be a kitten. huhu. need to supervise him more, afraid he would vomit again coz of the jumping. can meh?
