erm...wanna ask lah..usually those cat's "tahi mata" is wat color ek? like browinsh rite? one of my cat ar, her "tahi mata" is pink color...is that normal or not?

say to her No! or make a sakit sound..then when she let go, pretend that u dun want to play anymore...after sumtime, she'll understands that ur hand is not a plaything...

Tak boleh tidur lagi malam ni.Sedih teramat sangat. Sampai bengkak mata ni.
Hari ni, 13/4/09.
Pada jam 5, aku dikejutkan dengan SMS.
Anak kucing peliharaan orang tersayang, mati.
Mati bukan sebab bergaduh.
Tetapi , mati disebabkan serangan kucing jantan yang besar.
Serang masa anak kucing ni sedang tidur.
Sedih sangat.Rasa macam kehilangan besar.
Sebab dia kucing yang bijak, manja.
Lebih2 lagi dia tak ada mak.
Hanya menumpang hidup ,kasih dengan manusia.
Masa mula2 jumpa, badan kurus sangat.
Semalam, dia ucapkan selamat tinggal.
Dia kucup pipi tuan dia.
Dan itulah kali pertama, dia kucup tuan dia dan kali terakhir.
Memang agak mengejutkan semalam sebab dia tak pernah berkelakuan macam tu.
Tengah hari, balik dari kerja sekejap.
Bagi dia makan, dan biarkan dia bermain dalam rumah.
Macam biasa, kucing jantan besar tu akan datang curi makanan. Tak apa, dia nak makan aja. Tak curiga apa2.
Sampai satu masa, dengar anak kucing mencakar2 pintu.
Ingatkan dia saja2, sebab selalu dia nak merayau2 dalam semua tempat.
Bila dibuka pintu, alangkah terkejut bila anak kucing tu tengah menggelupur menunggu ajal.
Darah membuak2 keluar dari leher.Tentu kerja kucing jantan tak guna tu.
Apa salah anak kucing ni .Dia cuma tidur di dalam rumah tuan sendiri. Langsung tak kacau kucing jantan tu :'(
Anak kucing tu sambil menanti ajal, matanya terbuka luas sambil darah berhambur keluar dari tengkuk.Dan akhrinya, di situ juga hembusan terakhir nyawa anak kucing.
Tak dapat aku nak tahan sedih. Bila teringat semua ni. Bila terpandang mainan dia :'(. Tak sampai seminggu, belikan dia bola loceng untuk dia main. Dia takut dengan bola tu.Tengah biasakan diri. Terbayang dia mengiau, menggesel2 badan di kaki minta manja, mengiau2 nak makan, berlari2 lincah ke sana ke mari. Langung tak pernah aku anggap dia macam kucing biasa. Dia penuh dengan kasih sayang, patuh, manja, dan hanya ingin menumpang kasih setelah berlegar2 di tempat buangan sampah tanpa ibu.
Sampai masa sekarang, aku tak dapat tahan air mata sambil menaip.
Sebab tu jugak, hari ni aku tak sentuh langsung komputer. Langsung tak online.

Dengan kucing, aku belajar lebih kasih sayang, kesabaran dan macam2 lagi.
Mungkin ambil masa yang agak lama untuk aku jalani kehidupan normal.
Walau hanya seekor anak kucing, tapi dia terlalu istimewa.

Semoga dia aman di sana...

if i were you, and concern for the kitten health since they are small.. i bring to vet now. But make sure you have money lah ehehe.

most private vet, will have registration charge for first time. so u better stick to 1 vet, next time you visit - can ask discount. changing vet will make you keep paying for registration. some vet did not charge. consultation also do have charge, some vet skip it. if you are frequent customer.

why bring now? just to check the health. to make sure your 5 weeks old kitten is free from disease. since they are not vaccine yet, disease can easily come. like eyes infection, fever, skinny, etc. deworm can be given now, but not vaccine.

making sure they are healthy now is a good thing to do, because, in 2-3 more weeks you will start first vaccine right. vaccine need to be given to only a healthy cat. so if you didnt check now, i'm afraid in 2-3 weeks from now, the vet don't want to vaccine your kitten if they are sick. now you need to waiting for another few weeks. so there will be a delay.

when you visit your vet now, ask them when can you vaccine your kitten. tell them your kitten is 5 weeks, so later the vet will arrange next appointment for your kitten.

vaccine will be injection.
deworm for small kitten 5 weeks normally syrup type. above 2 months normally tablet type.

so let see how much they charge...
Registration = we make it RM10 per cat x 2 is Rm20 (hopefully FREE!)
Consultation = we make it RM20 for 2 cat (hopefully FREE!)
Vaccine = normally RM35 to RM40 .. so let say it is RM40 x 2 kitten is RM80
Deworm = normally RM6.. so RM6 x 2 is RM18

if you not sure how much to get ready, call the vet and ask if there is any registration charges and consultation for first time customer. Don't shy shy eheheh.. it is better to ask then you get freak out to see the bills. some vet cekik darah

some times i ask for free stuff ehehe. like when i vaccine, i ask "come on lah doctor, give free deworming lah, pity this kitten" ehehehe.. they may give you free, or else discount.

remember, first time vaccine will require 2 times. if you vaccine your kitten in MAY 2009 for the first time, the next vaccine will be JUNE 2009. then only once a year.

Hope you understand.

p/s talk to your vet about the charges before you go. better if you can call few vets and compare the prices.

yea brownish, like our tahu mata... cat tahi hidung will be black.

pink? aik.. how come? is the eyes watery? do the eyes look wet? see around the eyes, it should be dry, not wet.

if wet, then it should be sakit mata. cannot tell what eye infection, because there are different type of eyes infection.

how old is your kitty again?

kitten always play bite.. one time, if they bite you, don't give reaction (tindak balas). if you give tindak balas, kitten will take this as good thing to play with.

for example, if they catch mouse, one bite... then they open their mouth, the mouse will run away right. this is tindak balas. the kitten will catch it back again.

for example, like bear, people say, if a bear attack you, pretend that you are dead (no tindak balas)... then the bear will not bother you. if you give reaction, the bear will take you as dinner.

if the kitten keep playing bite, you need to teach a signal "don't bite!". as for my kitten, the signal is i point her with one finger. and say "haip! no bite! boom boom!"

which means "hey don't bite, i will slap you!"

your voice, not too loud just average... if too loud the cat will merajuk. if too soft, he won't listen.

cat bite untill bleeding is not a good sign, but still can teach to behave.

when my kitten saw this pointed finger, she will automatically seat down and not looking at me.

i think all my 10 cats afraid of my 1 pointed finger eheheh.. its a signal that "I don't like!, don't make me angry, else there will be NO DINNER!"

eheheh.. i'm not trying to show off.. really, my sister came down all the way from sarawak to KL and say:

"El, you discipline your cats better then i discipline my 2 children"

it is better that way, your cat must know what to do, and what cannot do. remember human still need to conquer the house, not fully cats. unless you are a cat too lah eheheh.

p/s hopefully you wash your hand with soup, and even better with dettol. don't forget put minyak gamat or any other minyak. Hope you recover soon.

remember, jangan sesekali biar kitten berkeliaran bersama kucing dewasa. especially yang berumur 3 bulan kebawah.

Bila kita ada kucing betina yang baru melahirkan kitten, jauh kan kitten2 tu dari kucing2 lain. potensi di makan memang ada.

Kucing memang jenis macam ni, kecuali kalau jenis kucing poyo macam Domestic Long Hair memang potensi tu kurang. tapi kalau kucing short hair yang biasa hidup memburu, potensi dia akan buru anak kucing.

dan sebab tu, orang kata, jauh kan bapa kucing, kalau si ibu sedang melahir kan kitten.

dan juga, sebab tu ibu kucing akan ganas bila kucing lain pergi dekat dengan kitten2 dia. sebab ibu kucing tahu, serangan maut mungkin akan terjadi.

kadang2 kucing2 dewasa ni tak menyerang pun. mereka ingat anak kucing tu tikus, untuk di main main... biasa nya mereka gigit gigit, sepak sepak, tampar tampar je. bila dah berdarah, jarang ada yang makan pun. mereka akan terus pergi, tinggal kan bangkai.

anyway, sorry to hear about that kitten. pity...

I think I saw it at majalah 3 last 2 episodes or so. If mixed with serval they are called savannah right? But this one i think they mentioned african serval cat.

savannah is a hybrid of a domestic cat (kucing kampung). it's a mix between serval wild cat and kucing kampung.

so savannah is bigger than domestic cat.

almost like bengal breed... both breed has different ways to show quality, like F1, F2, F3, etc.

both savannah and bengal only recognise by TICA and other small feline organization. But not CFA. CFA do not approve hybrid of domestic cat and the wild cat.

yes yes...same here. it always happens when i put the sand in a transparent plastic bag. so now im smart already. i used a darker color plastic bags or wrap using newspaper 1st. teehee!!!!

like wat pumpkin said...its alwiz good to wrap it up in a newspaper to absorb any liquid and also a darker shade of rubbish bag to cover the content.
in my case( those days when i was living in a appartment ) nobody will know(MPSJ) who threw the rubbish, they only come and collect but since i have moved to a housing estate i made it a point to make friends with the regular MPSJ pick-up guys and every mth i contribute a RM10 for their service...ini kira macam undertable money lah( they can go minum tongkat ali at the nearest mamak ) hahahaha...since we have become friends im sure they will assist you in someways. well its been working fine for me for the past 2 mths...just sharing jer my 0.01cents experinece

I forgot the brand name.. but what i remember, the one i used last time which has this peanut flavor. got 2 type, tablet and powder. my cats love the peanut flavor so much. but then its very hard to get nowadays. so i have to stop feeding it.
