I sent Momoy to the same vet (Dr T) who performed the spay at 4pm yesterday. The vet inspected her then told me that she got jaundice. The vet said, during the surgery there was pus inside her horns. The pus spilled a bit and maybe the pus has entered her bloodstream and got into the liver. That's how she got the jaundice. The vet gave a jab, said it is for the liver. She was given 250ml IV fluid, a medicine to stop her from vomit and they force-feed her. They fed her with a bowl of Hills Perscription Diet i/d. We left the vet at 5.30pm.
But at 8.30pm, when i wanted to feed her medicine, she vomit again. So i gave her the anti-vomit medicine, waited for 30 minutes, then fed her antibiotic and painkiller.
1.30 midnite, i feed her with 10ml Hills Persciption Diet a/d and some glukose water. But at the same time, i found out than below her right front leg looked flabby. The other side looked ok, no flabby. I touched that part and pressed a bit, but Momoy didnt show any pain.
This is the photo i snapped. Can u see the flabby part at her front leg?
This morning i found Momoy laying in her litterbox, but i found urine inside her sleeping tray. At 8.00am, i fed her the same diet (a/d) and gave her medicine for the liver (pills and clear liquid). So far she was not vomit, but looked nausea. The flabby part was still there, but not as flabby as last nite. Do u think it is because of the IV fluid? Then why it goes to below of her right front leg? I tried to call the vet, but today is their off-day. I called their emergency number, still cant get them

Damn...!
I think all of these happen because of my mistake. I never vaccined her before. I wanted to vaccine her when she was 7months old (may 2008), but my previous vet (Dr P) asked me to wait. He gave the contraceptive jab in May 2008, dewormed Momoy in June. I thought i can vaccine her in July, And Momoy showed sickness (vomit, diarrhoea) in July. And since then she was give prescription for entheritis and GI by Dr P, until October. I referred Momoy to Dr T (the new vet) at the end of Oct and that's how we know she got pyometra! And that's why i never had a chance to vaccine her
And now she got jaundice and i hope it doesnt slim her chance to survive
Dr T know Momoy is not vaccined yet before she preformed the spay. But she said she has to do the pyometra removal quickly before it spread and get worse.
I dont know what to do. I've done the best and i just let God decide her fate. But i hope if she has no chance to survive, she wont suffer long

Please pray for Momoy. Thanx.
I don’t like when a doctor keep secret of this happened during surgery without telling guardian or family. Like your case.. the vet already know she has pus inside her horns, which need extra more careful to do it. And some more, when the pus spilled they didn’t do anything to at least find ways to stop it before entering the blood system and go direct to liver? Weird.
I’m not sure with the flabby part at her front leg.
Ok now skip the vaccine part. I’m a little bit confuse… pyometra check up is at other vet? And spay is at other vet? Or both at the same vet?
Since she is suspected with pyometra, don’t blame yourself for not vaccine her. The sickness is already there right. Pyometra has nothing to do with vaccine. It is like other sickness. I have the hard feeling that the pyometra has something to do with this spay surgery. Since pyometra itself has something to do with uterus, and spay involve removing the ovaries and uterus. During the process there might be something go wrong here.
To be more specific, pyometra happen because of infection in the wall of uterus.
There are 2 type of pyometra, the open and close.
Open type – the cervix relaxes, releasing a large amount of pus that is often cream, pink or brown.
While close type – a very litter vaginal discharge.
As pus collects in the uterus, the cat become more toxic, vomits, high fever, dehydrates.
Momoy MAYBE has become toxic to herself. So infection grow from one place to another place. MAYBE it arrive in liver and that’s why she has jaundice.
p/s Don’t blame yourself nicoty_yne, like I said earlier, she is already infected by pyometra which has nothing to do with vaccine, but actually spaying earlier. Again don’t blame yourself, you have try your best now… trying to safe momoy. Just let god decide what’s next. You have done your best my friend.
p/s my prayer go to momoy, hope she recover and enjoy life.
