QUOTE(Mucro.Asia @ Dec 3 2009, 12:50 PM) For the hard disk temperatures, I think you should not be too concerned if your hard disk is using a Western Digital or Seagate. If you are using a Samsung, I would suggest you to swap it out straight away and not have important data inside. We just had an RMA on a 4 month old Samsung drive. Hitachis and Samsungs fail faster than Seagate/Western D. Hitachi will not fail as often as a Samsung. In any case, do try to do backups often. A tool like "synctoy" works well with external hard disks or NAS. Apparently, Seagate and Western D drives produce higher temperatures. the label at the HWMonitor there shown WDC WD50, i think it is western digital right? i redownload the intel matrix storage from intel website and it seems that the temperature of HDD hover at 55 to 58c

QUOTE(kelvin_hata @ Dec 5 2009, 10:54 AM) china sucks, copy cat, only know how to copy without even trying to release their own brand and design i doubt the hardware inside is really up to the performance of the real GTX280M and the real intel quad core, i think you gaming for 1 hour sure overheat like no tomorrow.

refurbish unit will not be a problem if you know how to take care of it
G51v almost perform better than NP866, most or less the same, in the end Sager has better heat management
Added on December 31, 2009, 6:55 pmanyone know how to take out the GPU heatsink of NP8662? the heatsink is so big, i've unscrew the 4 screw securing the heatsink, then the 2 long screw securing the card, then take out another 4 screw with string at the processor there (the smaller heatsink), but still i cant take out the whole heatsink, i can loosen the heatsink at the processor there but the GPU one is really hard
anyone know how to do it?

does anyone know why the speaker will have continuous high pitch sound when i close the lid while the volume is not mute?
this is quite annoying as i cant get rid of the pitch sound without having to mute my speaker
my model is NP8662, anyone have the same problem with mine?

is similar to desktop mic and speaker, when you place them too close to each other then will produce some high pitch sound, but other laptop also have mic and speaker, but they dont have this problem eventhough their mic is on all the time too.

the only way to get sager in malaysia is to order from mucro.asia or buy online on internet like xoticpc.com or sagernotebook.com
