clevo is an OEM manufacture. they ship barebone laptops (chasis/screen/graphic card) to vendors such as Sager, Falcon Northwest, Rock , Kolbalt Komputers etc to be sold off to consumers with addition components (RAM, HDD, Optical driver etc)

I've to apologize that I could not provide you with the settings that all the games that's running at. But generally it tells you the difference in performance between them. While yes, its odd enough for GT>GTS in the 9 series mobile cards.

As you can see, the NP8660 is "longer" than typical 15.4" notebook but it will fit your 15.4" messenger bag/bag pack without any issue, at least with mine.

Yes no doubt that SLI/Xfire is superior but the only concern is if they justify the price tag.

The Alienware M17/OCZ Whitebook would be a good deal if ATI's GPU is not CPU dependant. Throw in a mobile quad and yeah, its whole different story in price tag. If not they will win my money over the nVidia SLI if I'm searching for SLI/Xfire notebook in the market.

Sadly, my love is not enough for me to pay 3000~4000 USD for gaming.

Wah damn expensive wei... after I customized mine ( not maxed out ) and then added shipping payment ... the price was around RM6.8k

At first I thought if it's below RM6K I confirm buy... but haihhhhzzzz....

You should be able to get just around 6k with shipping if you choose the base configuration if you have an OS already. Just email them and request for a copy of driver disc for the version of your OS.

Its good enough for games, you can always upgrade your CPU/RAM/HDD later.

And further assistance is not possible as I'm on vacation for a week starting tomorrow, I'm very sorry about that.

However I do can give you a suggestion to look for Asus G50VT-X1 as an alternative, its will fit your budget while offering the weaker 9800M GS BUT still pwn 156s other GPU out there sitting at 13th place. However, as far as I'm concern, its not available in Malaysia yet, so you'll need to do some waiting but you gain the advantage of buying it locally.

One warning though, the Asus G50V comes with only 9700M GT which has big performance gaps between the 9800M series. Look carefully before you purchase, its G50VT not G50V.

Haha problem is, I don't have a proper OS. In other words I don't have an original copy.

Yeah I'm keeping the HDD as low as possible, RAM I will adjust to 2GB la.

See how it turns out first.

Go for the Asus and save you plenty of trouble... As much as my love to Sager, I would actually not recommend people here to buy it due to unavailability locally.

My information about the availability is limited, try ask around in the forum there might be more knowledgeable people than me to answer your question.

Nevertheless, you're the guy who's making the decision, think properly but I remember the Xotic PC $400 discount will end today or tomorrow.

What N1-C says is true, the Asus G50VT is an extremely good choice for those concerned about budget (about RM600 lower than the RM6800 Sager NP8660 configuration jackson mentioned, inclusive of shipping) and warranty (Xotic PC offers 2 years ASUS global warranty when purchasing the Asus G50VT from them). The graphics card (nVidia GeForce 9800M GS 512MB GDDR3) is more than sufficient for tearing through the latest games. Compared to the Asus G50V (no T) available in Malaysian markets that sports the GeForce 9700M GT and sells for over RM6500, this laptop slaps it soundly on both ass cheeks and roundhouse kicks it to Timbuktu, to put it one way.

On another note, for those that are still drooling over the NP8660, it seems to me that on the Xotic PC website they have removed the $400 off advertisement, but have integrated the discount/reduction in hardware price into the base cost. Essentially, this means that the prices they previously quoted as 'discounted' have now become base prices. In a nutshell - NP8660 is still a hell of a good buy lol.

On an even more pleasing note, Xotic PC acknowledged my wire transfer a few days ago and have begun the building/testing/burn-in/final QA phase of my NP8660. Fingers crossed, they might even ship it today or tomorrow! Another proud Sager owner coming right up!

SLi on a 15" chasis? can't really call it a laptop anymore with all the additional cooling and batteries needed.

If you buy through me, i can give you back 10% of the price. You still deal directly with xoticpc tho, so no worries about your money going into the wrong pockets. I still owe 000022 his $$, waiting for xoticpc to cash out.

Warranty dosent bother me since Clevo/Sager has a good reputation + the fact that nothing else offers this performance
