me feet type are supinators(my sauchony-s hv slight wear and tear already, outside heel part) -normal arched feet

oo thanks smile.gif

let me try to answer ur queries.

- the wear/tear at the outside heel of the shoe is normal over time.  the rate of it is very subjective from runners to runners. so dont worry too much here.

- i am not too sure if there is a lot of movement at both ur arch area that causes friction at the area hence causing blisters eventually.

maybe the following can solve the problem but no guarantee
a) Try this first. make sure ur socks have the capability to prevent blisters eg Anti-Blister system.  The only socks I know is either Injinji or Wright Socks.  I believe there are other brands in the market but i am not too sure which one.
b) hv a shoe that provide a good arch lock so as to minimise any movement at the arch level
*
hmm.gif most likely i'll get the socks frm u nxt month and test it out

what abt shoes? any recomendations frm u? any good stuff frm Sauchony?
could it oso be me shoes are too wide?

thanks

also try to apply foot oilment at arch area before running.  Vaseline can be a good option but downside is a bit greasy.  When my stock of BodyGlide arrive, you can also try it as its not greasy at all.

as for the shoes, can chk out your shoes if u are running this sat.  just want to ensure is not too wide.

okies den! do gif me a buzz when ur stock of Body Glide comes laugh.gif

yups me sure to run this Sat provided it doesn't rain tongue.gif can let u see me legs too..what time will you be there?

hArlo my fellow runners laugh.gif

I did;

Distance:25km
Time: 2hr 40min?? blush.gif i knw i m slow
Venue:Lake Gardens -6.00am

Summary:

I had a great run with the people of the pacemakers network, hving said that plz do nt think i ran along side them as they are way too fast. I ran last in the group with a super fast female runner; May Ping (i think blush.gif aka Ameba; Saiful's gf) and she I barely had her in my sight. She picked up her pace I think in the last 2km -3km or so and I completely lost her hence lost my way and to make matters worse, felt a cramp coming...but...managed to get bk to lake gardens by asking passer bys and complete the run..

Words to Sum up todays run:
1. Great
2. Looking forward to the next LSD with them
3. I have a reason to wake up early
4. Met a lot of celebrity runners tongue.gif

To learn more abt the pacemakers network, click here
They are a friendly bunch and ever ready to share their knowledge

Hi, now PACM member can apply the NB membercard to enjoy the 30% discount at most of the NB branches. Although it's a bit dissapointment cos need to pay extra RM10 annual fee, but at the discount now is applicable to more stores instead of the vey few participants outlet.

QUOTE(ccube @ Jan 21 2009, 09:58 PM)
how was ur feet on sunday run.  anymore blisters. besides the jazz 12 u r using can try out Triumph 5 which is a better cushion shoe.  or if u need some stability then hurricane 10.
*
Harlo tongue.gif

Believe or nt hving run 20km, I had NO blisters..Not even any HOT spots..
I think this is a GOOD start too the many competetions ahead!

Body Glide is defnitely good stuff..

Which would you recomend? triumph (would appreciate the cushioning) or the hurricane10(help me stabilize me flat feet)?

Very good news for you then.  The days of BLISTER is gong away.  Looks like the combination formula of Body Glide + Injinji is solving your problems.  Now you can forgot abt that and focus on how to run longer and faster.

If I will to choose and advise based on your body structure and feet bio-mechanics, Hurricane 10 is more suitable for you as it has the same cushioning quality of a Triumph 5 but with additional stability
*
Thanks for the recomendation (shoes, socks and body glide)
Now I can focus on training to lower me 20km+ time tongue.gif

After Chinese New Year then..get the shoes frm u laugh.gif

QUOTE(metalfreak @ Jan 22 2009, 03:24 PM)
Just curious..you mean ..apply the body glide on to your feet?
*
Yes bro nod.gif it seriously works

Norm is me use nikes dri fit (RM15/RM22) + Plaster -Run 10km+ 15km+ me "HOT" spots get hot and you can see blisters starting to "spawn"
Blisters grow on top of one another -pus + blood -Not a pretty sight tongue.gif
