his board can't adjust nb multi.

tat y need to check carefully and confirm wat wanna to buy
this sometime like me at P2 da time ..

i dunno anything bout phenom oc but i prefer x2 with high clock frequency rather than x3/x4 with low freq.

yup, it's so important that one must do some home works 1st b4 buyin anything...

mind u mate, phenoms (especially b.e chips or some tri-core) w/ sb750 are not as bad as u think. it's almost a guarantee that most b.e phenoms can do 3.2GHz on sb750 boards w/ acceptable voltage which gud enuf for 24/7...

thn the shopkeeper sugest me with x4 thats out of my buget thn i take x3 where x3 was no out of my buget,, so i dun thk so much..js take toliman..

but after i hv build my rig.. thn i come join ere.. come learn OC n really i learn many thing here...

Noob question again I'm not sure if this has been asked b4...
OC in BIOS or AOD better?
In TA790GX
BIOS: got NB setting
AOD: got ACC setting... I couldn't find NB freq setting
Would applying AOD OC in setting during startup cause windows hang?
Please assist

there's nothing wrong w/ gettin toliman, ya fault is at buyin d wrong board...

BIOS... AOD is kinda picky 2.1.2 (& below), not so sure bout d latest version but i've heard some positive feedbacks from users in xs. never try loadin aod during start up, personally i dun really like software oc.

i believe so far ur d only one who's on toliman + 790gx, so all u have to do is try & try & try... then go rebel hevan to do some read up, after that ur gud to go...

Resetting CMOS in TA790GX is onerous

that's d fun part of oc... if u want hassle free oc then u mite consider other option...

u can place ya gfx at pci-e x16 slot 2 (d upper one) while findin d max clock of ya setup, 8x @ pci-e 2.0 (u gotta enable it in bios) aint too bad mah... save u lotsa trouble removin d card over & over again just to clear d cmos. optionally u can ask anyone w/ small fingers in ya place to set d jumper for u...

i got big thumb that's why i was so frustrated everytime i need to clear cmos (back then)...

mod the cmos reset jumper with a cd-rom cable (for audio 1 )

I think reset CMOS should change from Pin > Button..more easier sia
