QUOTE(raymond5105 @ Apr 6 2009, 07:06 PM) even quaddies oem like q6600 can get around that price. if rm500 can get xeon 3320 also, equavalent to q9300 q6600 would be a good buy also, although kinda old already, it's a good oc-er, better than q8200 IMHO btw, thanks to those who dropped by at my thread to offer your help. appreciate it |

q8200 is not considered old, quite new actually. in fact i think it's newer than e8400. but q8200 is made from the e7xxx series or the e5xxx series, forgot already, so it has lesser cache than e8400, thus making it slower than e8400 in some applications that require more use of the cache.

not really, last minutes not jadi. so just keep it as spare. my 2.8c cant oc at all.... dont know why... thats why i so panic last night. so in the end i swap my 2.4A in there try out. works like charm. it can reach higher but the stupid mobo divider keep dropping after i push further. 1:1 to 5:4 to 3:2 hurts alot... now running 1:1. *very hard to install the giant xp120 hmm..... i recalled that last time ever reach 3.3ghz like that with 2.8c. now running back to nonHT cpu... damn.... |

kabu, what's the problem with your 2.8C ? The proc can easily clock to 3.45GHz on my Asus with 5:4 divider.

swap ram try on every slot single stick, no help. swap ide channel and cable, no help. hardly took off xp120, clean the cpu then swap old 2.4A. power on everything fine. maybe tonight i put back 2.8c try again. see what happen again. |
