Yeah that was the reason, extra digit.
Apparently Nanospeed 9900 was introduced in Q1 2009, but I could be wrong on this. Other than that, how's the shaft stiffness ? The NS9900 is like racket on <removed>. Edit : Haha, didnt know the word v-i-agra is prohibited in this forum. Anyway do check on the hologram sticker too, does it come off easily, the genuine one uses special glue to attach to the racket thus makes it close to impossible to come off. QUOTE(mizivincible @ Mar 20 2010, 04:14 PM) You bought a high end racket and the question is "is it a good racket", define "good". How much u got it for ? Regarding string, what kind of string u used on ur previous racket ? How did it feel ? Go ahead la.. try try heheheMy PP Ultra II sudah loses tension, I very tension when play with it hahaha. Im personally a fan of BG66, but seems like the Zymax gets good review. Bg80 on my AT700 still holds strong (but he rarely gets to play tho), just now used it for singles. Zymax 62 @ 27lbs on PP Ultra II ? Damn exhausted, workout on monday, rest on tuesday, wednesday 3 hours badminton, thursday 3 hours badminton, friday running, saturday 3 hours badminton, I need a break hahaha. Speaking of which quite some times didnt play basketball or other sports, addicted to badminton altho skills very lousy Such thin string at that tension should be nice but the durability.... Or you bring the racket to where you string your AT700 before... their stringing is top notch! "21+5" or "22+5"? |

QUOTE(penew @ Mar 22 2010, 10:04 AM) it sounds authentic but the serial displayed mentioned otherwise. if the racket is indeed intro-ed in Q1 2009, then maybe your friend got to know the insider very well and got an early edition? since the serial indicates that it was produced end of 2008 is that possible? if it's not, just treat it like a ridiculous assumption |

QUOTE(findecano1 @ Mar 22 2010, 04:35 AM) Go ahead la.. try try hehehe Visited Bro Halim just now, got my PP Ultra II strung BG6 @ 26lbs, trying it out tonight.Such thin string at that tension should be nice but the durability.... Or you bring the racket to where you string your AT700 before... their stringing is top notch! "21+5" or "22+5"? Well, they are restocking their rackets, got Arc 100 All England Edition, Arc 8 DX, alots of Cab21 SP (Still going strong this rackets, very famous). Tried out the Arc 8 DX, head heavy and stiff, and the frame is much durable compare to the Armortec series according to Halim himself, he strung it at 35lbs for few times, so for 28 29lbs casual playing shouldnt be problem compare to Armortec series where the sunken grommet problem occurs at higher tension. But my eyes seems locked at the NS9900, but after paying the string I have money left for the parking fee only haha |

guys, I'll be getting some rackets with my friends quite soon. But need to ask some details about the rackets and strings.
1) Some rackets are medium flex and others are stiff...what's the difference? 2) Can someone tell me the difference between head heavy - slight head heavy - even balance? 3) Rackets have limited tension xxlbs...higher tension means more powerful smashes? |

QUOTE(Aeon_Clock @ Mar 26 2010, 10:07 AM) guys, I'll be getting some rackets with my friends quite soon. But need to ask some details about the rackets and strings. i'll try to explain (based on my own reading and understanding)1) Some rackets are medium flex and others are stiff...what's the difference? 2) Can someone tell me the difference between head heavy - slight head heavy - even balance? 3) Rackets have limited tension xxlbs...higher tension means more powerful smashes? 1. flexible shaft are for slightly slower swingers. if you're a slow swinger, u will generate more power with a flexible shaft. stiff for fast swingers. of course, generation of power also depends on strings and tension. 2. if u feel your shot is lack of power, u can get a head heavy racket. you can feel whether it's head heavy/head light/even balance when you hold and swing it. headlight rackets are generally used for defensive purposes as it's easier to maneuver and faster response. balanced rackets are a little bit of both world..generating less power than pure head heavy rackets but faster than them. slower than headlight rackets but generate more power. 3. no and yes. if u're a hard hitter and fast swinger and use more wrist, higher tension will generate more power. if u don't hit so hard, a higher tension will not generate enuf power. this is explained as the trampoline effect. imagine urself jumping on a bed and normal floor. of course u can jump higher when u jump on bed. besides that, people say that higher tension provides better control. i don't know the theory behind that. however, i've also been thinking if i'm a hard hitter and my tension is not very high, won't i be generating more power due to trampoline effect? the only explanation i can think of is, trampoline effect makes the shuttle stay longer on the string bed thus delaying the time the shuttle reflect. any pro can confirm/answer this? (sry aeon for post-hijacking oh ya aeon, by higher tension, i dun mean 30lbs or so..lower tension doesn't mean 20lbs or so just higher/lower than the normal tension u can handle This post has been edited by ziggy87: Mar 26 2010, 11:57 AM |
