Just got hold of my new racket... The Yonex Armortec 700 Limited Edition. Can't wait to restring it and start playing. Hope it feels good.. smile.gif

Is this the one Lin Dan using ? Comparing to Arcsaber 9, which one should be better ? For player that does alot of jumping smash.

Ching ! Question !

Any racket that can match the power of Armotec 700 or 700 Limited ? Im thinking of getting one, but the price is pulling me down tho. So looking for those good in smashing as I do lotsa offensive e.g jumping smash. My current ProAce seems abit light and sometimes if I miss the shuttle during jumping smash it'd hurt my wrist or whole arm.

Comments are welcome tho ! Thanks in advance !

The only racket comes close to the power of At700 is at900p and arcsaber 10. At700 LTD is very expensive. But normal at700 should be cheaper at Pertama Complexs
*
Thanks, but the lowest I can get at Pertama from Mr Sam is RM468 for Armortec 700. So after a few thoughts, I dont think I can afford it, I narrowed down my options to Apacs AMP95 and VH1800, the thing is AMP95 is currently out of stock.

Guys and girls, take a look at my few hours old AVH1800 -

http://forum.lowyat.net/topic/883611

Found it doesnt really suit my liking after testing out heavier head and stiffer racket. Overall this Visible Hollow 1800 is really good racket, the VH shaft acts as anti vibration is working like charm - perhaps that makes it less stiff. Anyway, do drop me a pm aite.

So I guess you guys have to spend fortune on eye checking no ? Etakoh is carrying Apacs, I went with my friends last Friday for some shopping and they have quite some choices for Apacs line biggrin.gif

QUOTE(chgchksg128 @ Dec 27 2008, 08:18 PM)
actually anyone know APACS sold in Pertama need a bargain or is a fixed price?
want to know is the price is one of the lowest in klang valley
*
The price is of course negotiable, but I guess you can get good pricing too from our online retailers.

QUOTE(findecano1 @ Dec 28 2008, 06:07 PM)
Of course prices in Pertama can be bargained. Just the matter of how you bargain.
Again pricing of Apacs I m not sure in Pertama, but definitely you can try to haggle, bargain, discuss etc etc or you can check out some eager seller here.
There's no point buying a racket RM500+ racket when you can't fully utilize it. I bought a RM200+ racket I can't use it, my stupidity for that. I am only able to use a free old racket given to me by my uncle long time ago. sad.gif
*
I guess same case happened to me too I had to let go my AVH1800 I bought recently and play with my old ProAce Widebody 33 only. Lin Dan once said to me " You dont simply change racket eventho for higher end, stick with what you feel good playing with" thumbup.gif

I purchase that time that shopkeeper give me a stupid large bag...

Stupid large bag ? Why is that ? So you only need the racket cover ? Why didnt you ask for it ? Im sure Michael has tonnes of it. And eventually the stupid large bag that I got is a Yonex so its not stupid afterall.

Lost my Yonex World Champ 40 yesterday after a year serving me. I put it on top of the car, then forgot to take it in straight drive, the shoes dropped off. Then realized and came back to the scene the guard there said a person with motocycle picked it up already. Altho its not expensive but it has served me well this year.

Went to Pertama to get a new shoes today, after looking around at last I didnt get badminton shoes, I got myself Umbro Varsity futsal shoes for RM69 haha. Poor man poor man.

Restring my AT700 with bg80 25lbs in Racketworld, seems the racket prices really killing. (Saw a 1st gen AT700 but too bad it was not for sale as someone sends it for stringing, damn !)

you rather spend more on the racket but refuse to invest on a proper and better shoes to protect your foot that support your whole body weight? what a genius. . . . . .  I rather get a cheaper racket but a better shoes, for most of the beginner to intermediate level player, expensive racket won't really make their skill or performance jump to a higher level one; now I using RM170 Yonex NS500 and RM110 Apacs ES108 only with RM180 Nike Court III shoes, hopefully next time got more budget and upgrade to a better shoes; we only got 2 leg that will follow us for the rest of our life, so take care and protect him!
*
What a genius ? I'd take that as compliment. If you search and read around, shoes are very personal thing. And you think Nike Court III shoes are enough to protect your knee with such thin sole ? I personally try out the high end SHB series but it doesnt really designed for my feet . And perhaps getting the Asics gel series if it suits my feet today. Owh I do play futsal too, the reason I got the Umbros yesterday my dear sifu. biggrin.gif

LYN is full of geniuses, instead of giving advices properly they choose to shoot. I would have explained it properly if you construct your phrase in better manner. But thanks anyway, at least you compliment your bs with some advices tongue.gif

ya, Nike Court3 is not the best badminton shoes out there to protect my knee, you see me use cheap racket also know I am not rich enough to get a more better and expensive shoes, but it should be better then your Umbros futsal shoes. . .  and I hope you can enjoy playing badminton with your futsal shoes also. . .

*
You are either cant read simple english or darn ignorant, either way its not good to stir up the fire, come I explain it properly to you - I would like to let you, Omage007, know that, the Umbro futsal shoes are for futsal brother, I didnt mention or say in any of my post it was for badminton, perhaps my last line "Poor man, poor man" is misleading you so now im clearing it up hopefully u'll understand mister. I dont belittle people with cheap racket as I concern skills are playing better role but I do "envy" your ignorance and lack of understanding. And till now Im still looking for a decent pair of badminton shoes. Hope you understand ok Omage007 and thank you for the advice and wish, next time if got chance I belanja U Teh Tarik rclxms.gif rclxms.gif

Btw damn, Pertama, Campbell, dont have US12 or US13 in stock for any model. Probably going to AJ or Hock Eng tomorrow. Kesian me being big footed . Anyone wants me to check on anything ?

Btw on a serious note, I just changed my BG66 as stated in previous post, at first it was great but it loses tension during few session, I dont know whether its the stringer problem or what, so I changed to BG80 at 25lbs now, so far so good (But I only few minutes with it, not having any session yet due to finding shoes). Let us know the outcome after u try it out okie. If I go to the racket stores I'll check it out for you then.

But how come ziggy87 and arc1414 also ignorance and lack of understanding about your futsal shoes for badminton??

Anyway, like you say Nike Court3 insole and outsole is not really thick enough as a good badminton shoes, so I add another thin insole and now it feel better & more comfort, one of the reason I buy Nike is becoz the quality is quite durable, my few friends been using Nike Court2 for more then 15 months and still in good condition, my previous RM80 Yonex shoes last me less then 8 months then game over!!
How much you get for the BG66 maxima and BG80? thinner string usually less durable unless it is coated with something special.

If usually you use 24lbs with BG66 then you better use 25lbs or 26lbs with BG80 or BG65 coz it is more thick.
*
I think because U started to bash on the futsal shoes for badminton play then they thought they'd chunk into the discussion too ? Ok then they too didnt read properly about what I said vmad.gif vmad.gif vmad.gif. laugh.gif

Hahaha ok la prolonging the anger wont do good either, I roll the ball (in this case shuttlecock) first by apologize for the misunderstanding between us aite ? I come in peace ! icon_rolleyes.gif

On a serious note, me myself is quite heavy in person, I do play lotsa sports including basketball which requires me to jump alot, and I do apply my jumping strength on the court hence I need good shoes to protect my knees from giving away during old age (who knows tak sampai 25 sudah sakit kaki later). Actually, hurmm, haha, this is quite backfire after telling u it wasnt thick enough, after search for a while no luck finding US13 size for shoes I want, I do actually consider Nike Court3 just now, and there's another Adidas court shoe which provide thicker sole than the Nike around RM199 (should be tennis shoe), but after consideration I wanna try my luck tomorrow at few stores I mention before deciding on it. Perhaps I've been grumpy because I couldnt find the size I wanted tongue.gif

futsal shoe can be wore to play badminton, but up to certain point lor. Leisure player wouldnt spend much or pay much attention for shoe specs as long remains comfort and grippy.
Badminton shoe oso can be wore to play futsal, oso up to certain point. Both are indoor/court shoe mah, after all.

Depends on the chances playing either futsal or badminton. Full time on either sport should get a specific shoe type. All boil down to budget that wallet would allow, as long as comfort, nice fitting & no complain should be ok.

Indeed size 12-13 (29cm-30cm) hard to be found, if dun mind the tag is Rm210 for Asics Gell Rocket, size 12-13 is available. Wear to play futsal fulltime is abit waste, but still can perform very well. But not suitable for basketball lor.

i just offer my opinion here, pls dun tembak me kaw kaw ler......

Of course I have dedicated bball shoes. Just wondering, are you a dealer and do you carry any other model ? I'll try my luck tomorrow if not I'll get back to you ya smile.gif

Its been headache to search for the size tho blush.gif

In the shop I met a badminton sifu that taught me to play during my earlier stage, and it turned out to be Chiller himself, hahaha, no wonder findecano said I supposed to know him, he senyap senyap didnt wanna say anything here vmad.gif . Owh and thanks to him I found my shoes rclxms.gif

It feels solid, I believe what mois meant is quite fragile in term of a single clash will result in unfortunate breakage of the frame. findecano1's AT900T retired due to clashing cry.gif

Just came back from Chiang Seah Bangsar for shuttles and shorts.

Accidentally asked for the Li Ning BP 300C, accidentally wielded it for a while, accidentally asked for the price and stuffs, thank god I didnt accidentally go to ATM.

It felt slightly lighter than the AT700 but very hard flex, close to none. I absolutely love it. Pray to god I can resist this temptation. Baru aja ingat mau take Ti-10 but......

Now the "but" is really disturbing T_T
