guys, I'll be getting some rackets with my friends quite soon. But need to ask some details about the rackets and strings.

1) Some rackets are medium flex and others are stiff...what's the difference?
2) Can someone tell me the difference between head heavy - slight head heavy - even balance?
3) Rackets have limited tension xxlbs...higher tension means more powerful smashes?

Its obvious that we ask where do you stay, no point asking you to go KL or PJ if you are staying in Sabah or Penang.

Btw since ur from this area too, you can check out Pertama Complex Perfectsports, Etakoh or Racket World, AJ Puchong, MBA Puchong, Chiang Siah Store Bangsar, SP Ah Lee Bangsar, KLCT Cheras, Hock Eng Bangi.

Yonex shirts usually from rm30 (older version) and rm49 above for latest. RM30 above for pants. Other brands such as apacs, fleet, pronex, protech, from RM25 and above for shirts and pants.

guys, Apacs vs TSS vs Yonex racket...which is better? Let's assume we're taking similar price range rackets (RM100) to compare.

hey, this happened to my father's racket too. Something Killer...probably Yonex. I thought something heavy dropped on it. Wow...tension was the cause?

I'm intermediate. Played when I was young but stopped until recently...about more than 10 years already. Why?

no, I really mean some websites put max tension and first time tension ONLY. Was wondering if we need to follow it or not.

so I just string it at max tension? For Yonex Nanospeed 500.
would it make any difference to string at 27lbs if max is 28lbs?

well, this is actually a b'day gift for my dad. I don't know what is his fav tension and its meant to be a surprise. I guess I'll let him string it on his own.

I asked enough already about the stiffness and his preferred racket (even balance or head heavy) tongue.gif I do play badminton but I use one of my dad's racket all this while - Yonex Carbonex x8SP and x10SP. Getting an Apac EdgeSaber 9 Gold or 10 soon. Is this racket good? Or Apac Nano 9900 better?

no idea. Probably an easy racket similar to Carbonex x8SP. I don't have a good smash or hard swing. I tend to play with the Carbonex x8SP holding the grip at the very edge. Only then will I feel some power in my hits.

it feels light to me. Yes it is old but its seriously though. The Yonex Carbonex range always has been durable.

NanoArmor 900 II

My fav. racket which i played with for 2 years before it slowly collapsed structurally....
Last strung at 23lbs with Yonex BG66 before it collapsed. RIP.

HEARTBREAK.  cry.gif

hahaha

what happened? Did you hit any other racket?

I just got my hands on Apacs EdgeSaber 10. Somehow it feels better than the Nano 9900. Gonna string this at 24lbs for more power.
