i think those powerconcept should be good enuf for sub rm100.. u can ask arc1414 to recommend u, he is a good seller with good info and recommendation. but i recommend u to buck up some more, becos sub 100 makes your learning stuck at sub 100 only, around rm150 then u can practice and learn more provided u do it the correct way.

hmm dont really agree with tat..i used to bought RM200 racket but end up i cant really play with the racket.. now im using Protech Classic Series racket which I bought lower than RM200...Standard of playing increase worr...learn a lot of skills with the cheap range of rackets... icon_rolleyes.gif

blink.gif you think everybody can play at 27lbs? shakehead.gif
*
True...not all can play using 27lbs strings...it depends on the power of the arm and wrist worrr..i for once had tried 30lbs and 29lbs and 28lbs strings with BG98,BG95,BG85,BG80,BG66 and BG6....Now im using BG9 with 27lbs only..hehehe...and im really happy with it..Power smash. drive and net play all ok...

1. timing must be right since the loud sound is produced at the sweetspot
2. string does little difference i think. some strings tend to give louder hitting sound.
3. from my exp and readings, high tension seems to produce 'crack'-like sound rather than BOOM

sound like no power not important ma..as long as the shuttle flies fast biggrin.gif

i see.. thanks for d explanation. biggrin.gif

the smily expression is cute lah.

honestly, 27lb is considered a high tension to me oso. i believe the user of such a high tension is either a power-play player, or a strong wristy player.

good to play with this sort of player to improve my game.

so what is the [basic requirement] to get the boom boom sound?

1)must hit at the sweet spot.
2)must hit at high speed?
3)high tension? (25lbs or above?)
4)what else. . . ???

anyone here can backhand smash with boom boom boom??? biggrin.gif

boom boom sound gotta seek chrisling (21 lbs) & ziggy (28 lbs) experience. Only them can create such effects, as far as I recall.

Or eat Roti Bomb b4 game, then try on court later.

there's a much simpler way to get boom boom sound
whenever you hit the shuttle, JUST SHOUT BOOM LOR!! icon_idea.gif whistling.gif
you want boom how many times also can tongue.gif

Definitely hit to sweet spot could get the max sound effect, it's like playing drum. Imagine "-" is the shuttle while "I" is the head frame. The max effect is at " -I ", any of these " >I " considers slice/chop, & not able to create max sound. Low pitch normally occurs to thick gauge BG65 at 20-24 lbs, so does high pitch with thin gauge higher tension. Still not enough? stick 5cm cellophane tape strip across at bottom 1st row cross. This definitely loud, but the sound isnt natural & looks stupid, haha !

How many times can we shout for every smashing, I might laughing out loud if keep on doing that. Its good you still can hit at the frame, while mine always bocor 1, cant take a shuttle properly, so cacat.

I hardly take roti bomb, only half boiled eggs. End up my skills always tak masak & eat telur markah on most games. So pathetic....................*sigh*

Oh, that boom boom guy is still around. Backhand macam taufik wor, hahaha
