QUOTE(Fabrication @ Nov 30 2010, 10:03 PM) dear all, dear Fabrication,i am new to badminton. want to grab my first badminton racket. please recommend me a racket, prefer below rm100. thanks. for that budget, i recommend Apacs. it has superb quality for racket with such price. below RM100 can only get you clones of Yonex. you can find some sellers in LYN's trade section. welcome |

i think those powerconcept should be good enuf for sub rm100.. u can ask arc1414 to recommend u, he is a good seller with good info and recommendation. but i recommend u to buck up some more, becos sub 100 makes your learning stuck at sub 100 only, around rm150 then u can practice and learn more provided u do it the correct way.

QUOTE(sui @ Nov 21 2010, 06:19 PM) yea, lost against cheaper racket (27lbs) 20lbs? Who wants it in 20lbs? String it at 27lbs and above. Anyway, even if it's repaired, I doubt the fixation in with the frame will be any good. My advice, get a new badminton racquet. Current string tension: 27lbs horizontal & 25lbs vertical. just sent it to the shop, shop owner will send back to yonex... the decision is up to them, fastest takes 2 months for answer if no warranty then i guess repair it and string at lower tension like 20lbs.. QUOTE(ziggy87 @ Dec 2 2010, 04:17 PM) Not everyone is suited for 27lbs. You need the right technique, the right body placement, and experience for that. My advice it to start from beginning. If you were to give me a 20lbs, I would say it doesn't suit my playing style. There's no "bite" to it. Regards, Joey |

QUOTE(Joey Christensen @ Dec 3 2010, 11:02 AM) It really dependable what style of a player you are. Placing shots? Net play? Hard smasher? How do you win points? Through smashing or placing shots? I started out with 24lbs and gradually play until 27lbs or 28lbs. yes i totally understand and agree with your pointNot everyone is suited for 27lbs. Regards, Joey now i can't play with 24lbs.. but no point asking them to jump straight to 27lbs from 20lbs ma nowadays, seems like 24lbs is a good starting tension for men does it mean malaysian men are getting stronger? malaysia boleh lol |
