Ori battery is just so so only, last about 5-6 hrs with moderate usage.

But you may always get an extra batt or an extended hi capacity batt, it can last u more than ~12 hrs ^^;

Any digi users experiencing signal problem? Digi is currently not in service on my phone. I use the "search networks" but i found only either Maxis or "error" while searching network. What gives?

Yup they r doing sm upgrading work on their data services n the network got prob for the past 2 weeks. They say will b ok from may. Try restarting ur phone, also if ur simcard is quite old then go 2 digi centre n hv it replaced. I just replaced my 7year old simcard few days ago n it solved my network prob.

will they older sim card affect the network problem?? i mean regardless which telcos??

if the sim is damaged or malfunctioning then certainly will cause some prob regardless of the simcard's age. in my case in was a coincidense that my simcard got spoilt wen digi is having network prob. supprisingly no more prob for me. thats why i gave the suggestion.


something really weird happened 2day morning, my phone suddenly started vibrating non stop for no reason; no calls, messages n i didn't set any alarm. i had 2 restart the phone to stop the vibration. anyone experiance this b4?

i'm using unlimited data transfer. It cost rm66 per month i think

im using DiGi as well, but im not using any data plan.. so if i were to use this fone, then wont i haf to pay a lot??? even if i turn off the 3G/EDGE, i would haf to turn it on once in a while to validate my gmail account rite???

fag, the network problem still persists. I'm pretty sure my apn is setup correctly. But i'm also pretty sure it doesn't have anything to do with APN coz the phone can receive signal fine w/o APN. It's just that these 2 days have problem with signal. My 7-year-old 64K sim card is workable on my old phone but not on my G1. Doesn't make sense at all if it's too old or spoilt.

You can validate it using wifi. For version 1.1 and above, you can skip the validation part 1st,therefore you can use your wifi after that. As for the GPRS/EDGE usage, the best solution that I can think of is just delete your apn so that your phone can't use the gprs/edge/3g. Don't worry, sms and call still work though, but mms won't I think.

Finally after two days of rebooting, flashing, etc.. I manage to use jesesfreke adp1 1.5 cupcake firmware.. haha.. Been spending a lot of time to get it done right

Don't worry so much, may be this is just temporary like what St@nz experienced last few days.
In fact, my Maxis also giving 3G signal problem in the last few nites - only happened during nite time, maybe too much ppl (iphone users??) struggling for 3G bandwidth ^^P

By the way, have you done any new apps install or rom upgrade in the last 2 days?

Heh! This method had been working for rooted 1.1 before, but recently what i notice was the rooted 1.5 roms (regardless Haykuro/Dude/JF), it seems like sometimes (able) to access to data without proper APN settings. I can see the 3G sign once key-in the PIN code after a wipe.

But as long as you skip the registration part, you are safe.

And also we regain our multi-touch on browser!!

If non-contract, it's quite steep eh!!

Yo grazy, prolly i'll just wait for another few days. If the problem still persists, I might considering getting a new sim card. Meanwhile, I saw the news of new cupcake update. With my G1, an unlocked set, is it possible for me to update via the system update of the phone itself? or I should get other versions of cupcake?
