how far the difference between ADP and rooted G1?

You have to see it and test it urself ^^, pretty sure you will be impressed!

Specs and designs are basically the same, only ADP comes with special cover.

how about paid apps stuff i heard on the web?
I wanna buy ADP as I wanna develop some multi touch concept on Android.

With our telco's sim, we will not able to see those paid/protected apps.
Good to know we are going to have Malaysian android developer!!

Haha.. I have to get my g1 first.. so, is it safe to say there is no difference between ADP and rooted G1 for current moment. until the paid apps came to Msia?

why dont u juz get the dev fone.. it looks cooler.. it has a nice back, and the keypad area is shinier..

plus, it would be cheaper if u exclude the shipping.. its oni $399 which is rm1431.52 at the current exchange rate of 3.58777(crap.. it went up again)..

i wanted to.. the process is harder..

hmm yea.. the process would be kinda annoying, coz u have to register, then ship and wait.. and goodness noes wat might happen.. but then where do u plan to get the fone??? if u get it, can pls tell me where u got it and at wat price pls??? coz i plan to get it soon.. not extremely soon, but probably within a month or so..

if ADP i might ask friend from Singapore. as I heard the total cost is S$800 there..
if not then get a rooted G1

Yes, ah... the A2SD version is consistently looping to search & mount the SDcard (EXT2), in fact it does the looping even after SDcard was mounted successfully in order to read data from the card. So you could imagine the battery drainage here.

A2SD is the future for our G1 since it has limited memory space, but for now it's still not that mature yet and it will randomly cause some apk installation problems.

BTW, you using overclocker? burning at 528MHz?

Thats a bit tough as most shops don't carry them unless its a large-size AP company. These are also non-available stocks and had to be pulled from their 'warehouse' (assuming you're talking about Lowyat). So you have to confirm order for them to take it out otherwise its not really 'nice' trouble them to get it and then not buy it in the end. Well, some customers don't mind though hehehe...

Probably the best way is to find a friend who's a handphone freak. Probably he may be owning one already.

hmmm.. well none of my friends haf it.. so i mean i think i would need to test it before buying.. but in singapore i should be able to test it rite???
