By the way guys, if you have installed "no signal alert", please monitor your batt health, for the current update it's still a juice drainer. For my droid case it lost about 10-15%. I have sent my concern to the dev edy. Anyhow it's a good apps, I'm keeping it.

Heh! Just updated the new HTC Sapphire (Magic) Radio, just the radio only, not yet port the pre-cupcake to my droid. Now radio firmware is 2.22.19.23 ^^;

Noticed that 3G + WIFI + and call signal are much stronger. Now I can see 3 bars (consistently) on 3G signal which previous 2~3 bars most of the time in my area. Will monitor/report any drop signal for these few days.

Another issue is the battery drainage due to this new Magic radio, will monitor this as well. Usually stronger reception/transmitting power will cost more amp. Hopefully this radio is an improved version that we will get in the near future.

Report after 12 hrs of Sapphire radio: No drop signal noticed. Now got full bars of 3G signal. Will test tethering later if not tired. ^^]
Battery drainage: not yet confirmed since using it alot to test the signal (surf net, check market & youtubing). ^^)

G2 aka Magic is not launched yet, so pricing not available yet.

Yes it is very tempting. I've been a loyal fan of Symbian but I got bored with its UI and decided to look elsewhere. Windows Mobile interface shell looks like a gimmick with many manufacturers putting a mask on top of an otherwise dull-non-touch-friendly interface. Blackberry sounds promising but its the same dull interface below it. Palm Pre is nice but not available. So G1 all the way!

It is capacitive (same as iPhone but smaller screen size), don't need to stylus to point point ^^)
