QUOTE(bearbear @ Mar 24 2009, 01:11 PM) Nop i can't prove, that's why in the application form i stated i wanna apply for PSW after i graduate. As long as i get the visa everything will be fine. Pray hard for me Yes you can do Warwick EBM part time at KL (under UTM) but i was told this year is the last batch already. Anyway it's a part time course which takes 2-3 years to complete and cost roughly 40k. My advisor from MABECS told me not to indicate that you want to apply for PSW after graduate even for my master programme. Im not sure what is the reason but just to tell you what told by my advisor. You should consult MABECS about your application to avoid rejection. You can email them and ask my advisor at Mabces, Ms Nimmi. MABECS email : ukdegrees@mabecs.com Good luck Note: I just remember that your course has to be atleast 6 months in order to be eligible for PSW. Please take note about this. I dont think the 3 months top up programme is eligible for PSW. Thus, indicating that you will apply for PSW might just jeopardize your application. Are you not allow to apply at UK to extend your visa ? This post has been edited by jasperng: Mar 24 2009, 01:31 PM

what do you want to know about these uni?
it is also up to which research topic you particularly interested in too.
you have to find out which research topic will land you plenty of opportunities in advancing your career or land you a job in uk as well (if you intended to stay in UK after graduation).

QUOTE(jasperng @ Mar 23 2009, 03:09 AM) Thanks for the information. Can I know what do you mean by updating it ? does it mean that transferring money into FD ? Updating means for those FD you have been expired, so you go to the bank and give it to the bank officer to print out your latest amount money + new expiry date for your FD. Pray hard for me if I were you, i won't state that i'll going to apply PSW after graduate(although you are planning to do apply PSW). coz now UK gov is controlling immigration. Just state you are leaving the country after graduate and you like to learn more about british culture. Just don't mention you want to work in UK. This isn't going to help your application.

Right, maybe you might wanna get a clearer pic of my situation. My top up course is only 4 months thus i can't use it as an excuse to apply for visa as i can simply go to uk under visitor and complete it without a visa. My intention is to complete the top up degree and continue master right after it. To do so i will need the 6 months visa in the 1st place so that the U can help me to extend when i finally get the offer letter for visa. Else i will have to rush back to Malaysia to apply for visa and go back again I cannot talk about the master in my application simply because i have no information about it(when it starts and etc), we were advised to use PSW as the excuse to get the 6 months visa first. Cheers

Will officially finish my degree as soon as I hand in my dissert in one month time!
Guys/Girls in UK! I want to go backpacking/travel, can anyone recommend me some nice places to go, which is cheap for traveling? (i.e- nat express 30quid return, ect. No ryanair, I hate the company)
I went to Brussels already and will go to Alsace next month as a little treat for hours of slaving away in front of my laptop, squeezing my brains out.

QUOTE(bearbear @ Mar 27 2009, 11:10 PM) i think should be alrite, i talked to a friend who applied last year during the peak season he said he got it within 7 days Thats great .. Furthermore, with the new point system, I believe the processing day will reduce too. Now they dont need bank statement of your source anymore. They only need a bank account with your name or a joint account containing the stipulated amount of money. The rest is just getting an unconditional offer letter from university. QUOTE(matt_rix @ Mar 27 2009, 11:10 PM) one question, how to inform them when i get my last a level's result in august?i already got conditional offer you cant apply now as you only can apply visa 3 months before the course in UK commences. Also you can only apply with unconditional offer letter. The reason why july - oct is the peak season is because A level result releases in august . =)

youngkies or anyone,
Could you provide me some information on how good is Warwick in engineering ? They claim to have good reputation in engineering . However, I barely seen ppl doing engineering in Warwick... Could you clarity about this ?
Overall, no doubt Warwick is good university. However I am looking for Electrical and Electronic field. Because they combined everything under one roof. It is hardly to find Warwick for subject ranking . I did find them under general engineering but it would seem that category only compare with few universities due to most of the universities has their own Electrical and Electronic department.
I want to apply their MSc programme but since they require processing fee of 20 sterling ( which is rare for UK university to ask for processing fee ) I need to seriously consider about it before applying to avoid wasting money.

I have been using that ranking for my reference. But just based on that isnt going to justify how good are them ... They are ranked 32 in e n e ... which is quite low ... but maybe in reality their graduates obtain jobs before even graduate or something ? ... mmm i tot getting some feedback on the current student or ex-student would be a precious source of information.
