Heard from my friends that it would be better if we can buy the clothes there, as we do not know the actual situation. We might end up buying things that we will not be using.

Which part of UK are you going? I will be going to Newcastle in August. Still waiting for the conditional offer for the course that I wanted to do. Got 3 offers now, but the one I want most have not replied me yet. Sigh still waiting. Hope the air fare will not raise anytime soon.

owh, hm, thankx for replying, but to be safe, isnt it better to have at least one piece of cloth b4 going there?
i'll be going to cardiff for pharmacy, huhu

just buy some sweaters / thick hoodies plus a windbreaker. that combination would be enough for mid september / early autumn.

then you can buy a proper winter wear in uk.

i guess i will see you in cardiff then.

owh, thanx god havent buy long jones yet,
wohooho....what course r u doing there?

Guys,

I need some information in applying Visa. What sort of documents do I need to prepare? Remember that my friend has to prepare Fixed Deposit Slips, Land Title (Property) and so on. But from VFS website, it only states that applicants have to have an amount of money that is sufficient to live in UK, and the money has to be in the account at least 28 days before applying Visa. Anyone can enlighten me? Appreciate it!

it's better for u to call them ur self,
hm, the most crucial one is the original unconditional offer of the course from university that u have chosen.
i dont know bout the money...huhu

I just found out that the exhange rate in my hometown is very affordable compared to KL. £1 = RM 5.45 (selling price). How can I benefit from this? Is it advisable to bring big amount of cash personally?

i tot it's the same?huh?

if the exchange is 1 to 5, then it is cheaper in UK. but anything above 1 to 5.5, more expensive in uk. generally, they are cheaper in msia, except exchange get lower than rm5 per pound.

owh ic...so i shud buy cameras n handphones here rite...

You can check out the link for of carphone warehouse for more information,

if you are going for contract phone, please bring your old handphone with you first, because some shop may wants you to have certain level of credit history or pay deposit before they can grant you the contract..which takes time.  smile.gif
*
owh..hm..usually how long is the contract?

probably you can try this service shippingtomalaysia. but i think you need to wait them to come to your place and collect, sometimes you need to wait for few weeks for that. worth to check it out.

but the minimum order is 40 pounds. i need to send one or two items only back to msia.
