Has anyone managed to get this to work on local Telcos yet?

I'm on Maxis and Yellowsnow v0.95 ain't working for me so far...

Upgraded to 2.28, jailbroken with QuickPwn, downloaded and successfully installed Yellowsnow v0.95 - Cannot get a carrier signal from Maxis....

I just want to share one funny moment I'd gone through when I attempted to jail break the phone for the first time in my life last nite.

I followed the instruction from the website 'iclarified'.....to the T to jail break the phone. When the instruction said that I hold down the 'Home' button, I hold the 'Home' button on the computer, and after that I hold down the 'Power' button on the computer, when told to do so. To my amazement the computer went off when I released the 'Power' button, as per the instruction. I was flabbergasted! I thought the instruction was insane to ask me to hold the 'Power' button and release it back. Gerenti laa power will be off!

It took me a while (after sipping a cup of hot coffee) to realise that the instruction meant for me to hold the 'Home' and 'Power' buttons ON THE IPHONE, not on the computer! hahahahahahaha! It was already 2.30 am but I still managed to laugh at myself.

Haigh......inilah nasib menimpa to an iphone rookie like me!

anyone here had experience unlocking Australia 3G f/w 2.2 iPhone without using turbo sim? my friend 3G iPhone is unable to use on specific sim card.

can u give us more details? have ur friend tried to unlock it? using turbo sim or the new one frm dev team the yellows0nw? perhaps if u give the detail we can help since ure giving so little information....

alrite... frm your information, i assume ur frined didnt software unlock it.... so he is using the turbo sim to unlock the iphone right?
u can software unlock it using Yellowsn0w in either cydia or installer.... check this thread out.

Thanks very much refering to your hackintosh post, - when you said reset network settings below in your steps: WHat exactly do you mean? And how long before the search resulted in a working signal for you?

- 3G and Data Roaming off
- Reboot
- Airplane Mode On
- Reset Network Settings
- Airplane Mode Off (...searching...)
- Voila! Got my Celcom signal..!!!

When you see the "searching" signal, wait for 5-10 seconds (or slightly more). If it fails, try again switch on/off the Airplane Mode.

Still not working - I guess I have to wait for later versions to come out from Dev Team....

He went to SG and look for phone shop to unlock it for him with the cost of SGD100 ... and the Shop tell him that dont download games from apps store. if you do so then the phone will be locked. i saw there is the Cydia and Installer application on his iPhone3G. I think they just use Pwnage to unlock the Phone for him and didnt unlock using yellowsn0w. His iPhone need turbo sim in order to use.. If not not able to connect to local telco.

Have been busy with the band and also promoting our 2nd album. Also will be playing in Groove Junction on the 12th Jan and hopefully Apple event next month.

I wish i can help you out with the netatalk issue. I did not manage to get it working too. Am using Cyberduck if need too but i currently using DiskAid for fast transfer.
