HD4850 and 4870 are quite power consuming in comparison to HD4670
unless u are into serious gaming, i would recommend that u take HD4670 instead

why dont wait for 4830??

Check the clock speed, if it is the same then same. Else the higher one would have better performance.

DDR5 is 2x faster den DDR3.

example:

800 Mhz DDR3 = 800 * 2 = 1600 (effective)
800 MHz DDR5 = 800 * 4 = 3200 (effective)

latest generation of ATI & nvidia card opted a very different solution for higher bandwidth.

nvidia still uses slower DDR3 but increase the bit to 384 & 512.

ATI card still uses 256 bit but opted fast DDR5 memory.

haha..i m one of them...from 7900gs, i chged to hd3870 without looking at 8800gt..haha...den now turned to 4850 without looking at 9800gtx..ekek

Added on October 11, 2008, 10:04 pmbtw...theres some drawback in ati, where dey dun perform that good in opengl compared to nvidia...opengl kinda laggy...played cs1.5 and cs1.6, and their framerate doesnt seemed that promising
