Can anyone teach me how to uninstall the ATI's GC driver clean ?? i noe some registry files will still remain in pc even after the driver is uninstalled..can teach me how to clean it ?

Here, use Driver Sweeper.

Restard your PC in safe mode after uninstalling, then just use the software and select ATi then remove.

u dont need to uninstall ati driver

dunno why a lot of ppl are doing this
after 8.0
theres a install manager that will update neccessary installed components only

just make sure u restart once ure done

until today i havent uninstall my ati driver...
after even changing mobo's a few times.. for my ati rig..

so can straight overwrite it la ya... o.o... but far cry 2 still 20 fps -.-

does this applied to overwrite hotfix with upcoming official driver?

For me, I just uninstall the whole driver then install back the latest. No need to use driver cleaner.

nope mine at full max at 1920x1080 average still 30+

wel...wat i tink is crytek engine not so good...i face laggs in hd4850 on 1280*1024 in crysis high settings

lolz its normal ah...even 4870X2 got raped harder by crytek engine and that's a fact...only core i7 with 4870X2 will generate more than 60FPS full details

ah for crysis
up ure ram speed with low tRd's
then only cpu.

so the hd4850 gets pawned by 4870 because of the gddr5..
games that are slower like RTS games 4850 should be nearly equal to 4870. on clock to clock.



heheh soundaddict must be enjoying with his 4x1gb at 1200mhz Cl5 tRD 8 on 500fsb..

I think you need to tweak your system to get the best out of your gc.
Even my cacat tweak system with HD4850 also can play smoothly on far cry 2 full setting 1440x900 without aa and af

Im using the HD4870 1gb Golden Sample.
Im having problem with playing Crysis Warhead in Vista 64-bit. The game will not start in full screen. I have to go the option and tick the full screen, but whenever I restart the game, it still automatically start in a windowed screen. But then again, thats no big deal because I can always manually set it to full screen.
The real problem is, even in full screen mode, it will have black bars at each borders. Thats the case whenever I try to set the resolution to 1920x1080. Instead of giving me 1080, it gives me 1600x1200, which resulting in black bars. The lower resolution; 1024x1280, can fit the whole screen fine but who wants to play at this resolution in a 1080p monitor right? Anyone else having the same problem?

My setup: as stated in my sig.

EDIT: I have tried with catalyst 8.10 and 8.11
