Someone should test 8.11 beta since they claimed 20% increase in crysis performance.

i sense a price cut coming very soon. EVGA GTX260 is selling less than RM800 after conversion without mail in rebate at newegg.

Price cut at malaysia will be effective either the supplier clear the old stock, which they bought from nvidia or ati company before price cut, or the nvidia or ati promise to give them discount on the next stock. But i think usually they go for clear stock la.. so we need to wait like 1-2months only u can see huge price drop.

price positioning will come before Christmas provided new GTX 55nm is coming. Like it or not, there will be a price cut for the holiday season.

ya...i read about it once...cant remember...
that why high end plasma or lcd onli support 24fps
*
they support 24p which mean true 24fps with no pulldown method. The screen capable of doing other frame rate ie ntsc depends on the refresh rate supported.

24fps isn'f fluid enough for games. But if film to be shot and deliver with more than 24fps, i tell you it sucks.

i'll wait till pc fair only buy.
last time pc fair benq girls was great............ tongue.gif

well, the review says it all.
2 - 3 fps gain doesn't justify the 1gb memory.
i'll stick wit 512 if u ask me.

btw, dun worry too much bout fps, if the game is running @ 24fps constant, u wont fell the lag unless it go bellow 24................. smile.gif
people, dun start 2 argue bout how many fps consider no lag, coz 24 is the ans.

there is a big fallacy in your reasoning. I do feel lag when watching movie ( no frame drop, all frames were rendered exactly at 23.976 through the EVR custom renderer) but that is good since i feel like watching movie. Games should run more on fps. But definetly 24fps is not the base fps.

well...........u still dun get my point.

v r not even on the same page.
i'm not saying u're wrong.

yes, 30fps compared to 60fps, u may b notice 30fps is slower.
no, even @ 25fps, dis frame rate is not QUALIFY 2 b consider as lag, yet.

kl tower compare to KLCC, kl tower is shorter, but dis doesn't conclude dat kl tower is consider as a short building.
i hope u get wat i mean............ smile.gif

best is 2experience it ur own.
assume dat u hav a ATI GC, run ATI tray tools which playing game. the fps will show up on the top right corner.
just play as u usually does, wen u starting to actually fell the lag, look @ the fps.

i've do dis countless times, & i can tell u dat wen i look @ the fps, it is 22 wen i actually fell something is lagging.

those r not actually lag, may b its ghosting due to LCD slow respond time.
try using CRT or plasma tv, it'll flow smooth.

also, another thing dat i like 2 point out, people usually tek this wrongly.
example, a game is running @ average 30fps & it fells lag sometime, therefore 30fps is consider not enough.
the actually thing dat happen is, may b the game is running @ max 35fps, min 20fps & average 30fps.
v only fell the lag on those ~20fps part.

Lag or i would prefer choppy frame rates can be differs up to individual perceptions. Some can tolerate lower frame rates and keep on gaming without nag. However gaming need to be fluid in motion especially in fast action and first person shooter games. Film 24fps never promise this fluidity motion. This to preserve the actual frame rate and the film vibe. Therefore, 24fps is certainly not the floor frame rates for gaming as you were saying. I'm not gonna talk about plasma/lcd tv abilities to duplicates frame to mimic fluid motion that can increase the 'frame rates'. That is way out of discussion.

I've read your book and your page, but perhaps you should do the same too.
i think i get what you mean in the first place... or might not if only you use the correct way of spelling. Forgive me if i interpret it wrongly. Btw, i only respond to your first claim of what you call as your evidence.
