if ure not going to overclock then Gainward 4870 GS 1gb...
if ure going to overclock and kick the living daylights and of the 4870 above and not going to use a lot of AA performance

not gpu...
gpu doesnt cause freeze.. always artifact first then bsod...

hmm ure spec nearly same as my 3rd rig...

love the sound of asus xonar d2x on crysis warhead.. awesome..
also for this sound card has issue with certain games.. dont use the driver on the CD.. for vista ...
has a lot of issues with crysis/spore/bio shock. etc..
download the driver from support.asus.com.. the latest one

i've already said over and over again the gtx260 216sp pawns the hd4870 1gb easily

with the zotac gtx260 amp 2 vs gainward hd4870 1gb still the same

and worse when the zotac still has another 15-20 percent overclocking headroom left..

was laughing my head off yesterday when one of the staff in ate.. stupid fella knows nothing and talking cock with me...just buat noob in front of him..

this is y i only buy from cycom.
most of the staff if dunno will say dunno or will call bong/bill and who ever who knows.
if he also not sure will say will check on it later..
and they usually send their staff to product update whenever there is a launching of product...

but still think the ate staff the other day stupid like hell..

we buy certain brand for a certain product
xfx was popular for the 8800gt, 8800gts 320mb
leadtek was popular for the revision A2 320mb
asus was popular for their cards before the top edition started coming out
etc etc
gaygay... nobody likes them overall.

palit has better rma

infact last world survey shows
powercolor and palit has the least amount of rma for ati cards

highest was sapphire and diamond

gainward ati cards are palit cards dude
palit bought over gainward
before this gainward didnt have a ati r&d deparment
only nvidia

so if palit card dies
so will ure gainward...

if ure a rog fanatic who wants teh current asus epu technology etc
and u have asus mobo..
then asus seems a better bet for u...

afaik until today i have not yet rmaed a single asus gc.

it has a variable gc voltage and mem voltage...
phase switching for power saving feature...

go checkout the 9600gtx matrix review..

no larr its a 4870 not 4870x2

if no game i think around 1k
if got game sure around 1.15k.
the distro here usually brings the one with the game...

afaik this is only a 512mb edition
so going to be pricey.
but for ppl who just want to game better just buy the zotac gtx260 amp2 for that price

matrix more like to play around and bench only..
it looks cool ...
thats one thing i was pissed off with gainward
y cant they use alu on the heatsink..
freaking piece of acrylic...

u dont need to uninstall ati driver

dunno why a lot of ppl are doing this
after 8.0
theres a install manager that will update neccessary installed components only

just make sure u restart once ure done

until today i havent uninstall my ati driver...
after even changing mobo's a few times.. for my ati rig..

ah for crysis
up ure ram speed with low tRd's
then only cpu.

so the hd4850 gets pawned by 4870 because of the gddr5..
games that are slower like RTS games 4850 should be nearly equal to 4870. on clock to clock.



heheh soundaddict must be enjoying with his 4x1gb at 1200mhz Cl5 tRD 8 on 500fsb..

especially rams..
if u quote the serial number to the manufactorer... will be invalid.
two mobo's i had to be rmaed via newegg last time

one was the evga 680
and the asus striker extreme

both manufactorer said send back to newegg and they will cover charges to ship it back to the buyer

command and conquer 3
unreal tournament 3
call of duty 4 and 5

will be getting left 4 dead and need of speed undercover next week.



the gtx260 series doesnt suffer the same fate as the 9000 series...
the iq are the same.
only the hd playback is still higher than the hd4870..
dont need to google.. cause i usually test for myself.
no of con reviewers out there is amazing..
