wow @soulreaver, is there a worm's nest in ur case? sweat.gif
u can improve ur cable management by routing ur psu cable behind the mobo tray via the hole near the psu and dun spiral ur sata cable coz it'll look messy,
and one more thing, dun remove the unused hdd rack coz it can help u to hide the cables behind it smile.gif

i removed the HDD cases cuz i tot i could improve airflow into the case><? Yes? No? Not sure thou.

I rerouted all the PSU wires to the back of the mobo tray. Now i need to settle the Sata, and the Wires for Front IO Panels. Wil use cable tie to tie dem up soon. tongue.gif

me too dont know whether hdd rack could or could not
disturb the airflow hmm.gif

but what i think,
if the hdd rack is align with the front intake fan,
maybe that disturb the air flow.

i guess.

Well, I think moving the hole inside or partially inside is better looking smile.gif
and for the USB connector part, cut it longer,
who know next time you change mobo and the arrangement different?
and 8 pin one still can be done by cutting below the mobo...

but with this, you have to route your cable 1st before you install your mobo on the casing...

you cannot cut it,
the cosmos are using the beam which got few "hook",
the hook will hold ur side panel tied...
if you cut it,
bye bye, your side panel will just fall down,
and you will end up using tape to fix the RM700 casing =.="

cutting at mobo tray is still acceptable for most of the ppl,
most of the time the price would lower coz of this...
but modding the case's panel,
that you decrease the value of the casing...

well jud, the 212 shud face the rear fan so tat the hot air flow would jz go straight out... nod.gif

but i DO notice tat if u do tat it will clash with ur psu, rite? it's more troublesome than mine bro... sweat.gif

1 more thing, it's better to face the 212's fan upside cuz hot air will rise cuz it's lighter while cold air is gonna go down. icon_rolleyes.gif

You need to change the 212 direction.

212 is very flexible to change the direction unless you have other thing blocking its way.

able to hide most of the cables behind the mobo. unlucky for me..

- the position of 8 pins & 24 pins cable of mushkin modular psu..near the side panel..
- the molex cable is too thick, cant attach back panel again after hiding the cable behind mobo tray..need to file the tray a bit later..
- bought 2 CM 120mm led fans..but no 3 pins to molex converter (where can i buy this?)..ended using side panel & front fan's converter
- connect the front fan directly to mobo, unfortunately it didnt spin..i thought the fan can be connect directly..maybe im wrong

pic later..still looking for sony e software..

able to hide most of the cables behind the mobo. unlucky for me..

*
u can buy 24-pin and 8-pin extender kit from lehteck..
the name of the item is silverstone pp-04, i bought one from him coz my 8-pin atx cpu power is too short, cannot be routed through the back of the mobo tray

i mean the fan should be 'pushing' the hot air upwards, i got messed up in da words i guess... doh.gif

The case is relatively inexpensive, and strong. I sat on it a few times while waiting for the lift in the mall.

As I mentioned before, this case isn't the best for cable management, difficult to get cable from the 5" bay area down to the video cards and HDD without going back out exposed in the case.

Didn't spend too much time with the cables since I'll be switching the PSU this week.

It's also a bit 'light' on the cooling side, with only two chassis fans. I bought this about a month ago so I'm not sure it's ready to be replaced. =/

Yep, that's why I put it in there. Noticeable difference, but noise is still leaking out the front mesh grills (nothing I can do about that).

I actually wanted a piece of dark black foam, but I couldn't find anything. This ended up working better as its heavy and thick - I just hope it's electrostatically inert, or the case itself will help in that.

brilliant idea there. anyways, u might wanna move ur hdd 1 slot higher.. cos that looks pretty close to d bottom, toughing d carpet thingy. gonna get pretty hot down there.. just my 2 cents.
*
Actually, I moved it low because theres a 80mm fan right in front - if I move it up one or two slots, it will block the flow to the dual video card setup.
It's a problem, because the case doesn't have enough flow for ventilation, so I have to compromise the setup.

I'm really starting to think I have to ditch the case and get a new one - sucks because I just bought it about 4 weeks ago. =(

liquidsociety your CM690 must be full of fan noice. I own a CM690 and i do have the High performance CM fan like you 2k RPM and i have 1 install it other all use 1500rpm but i still really can't stand the noice........can't imagine you use all 7 fans. Seem like you are using HIS 4870x2 and Asus P5q deluxe edition with Thermalrite 120 extreme,Gigabyte 850w PSU,4gb Corsair Dominator with fan....... Can't imagine the loudness of your PC. If put in my room i can't sleep for sure.

@mfcm,

So close also cant see the wires, superb job allngap done. My workshop wires all industrial type doh.gif thicker

and liquid's setup not bad, can see most of the fans are silent type. But his heatsink fan wire is exposing, mayb can adjust abit to hide it abit.

Wah, that case is HUGE! IMO, without liquid cooling and numerous drives - there's no need for such monstrousity.
I mean, look how big the gap is above the mobo - wasted space.

Still, you have a nice setup, I can't argue against that - but with the money, maybe a nice Lian Li or Silverstone case would have done the job *ducks*.

I like the HP monitor.

agreed.. already open a thread to buy two of 1x rad.. my idea is to mount 1 at da back and 1 at da bottom (for future gc cooling maybe tongue.gif )

but just dealing with lyn forumer for 2x120 swiftech rad.. so ned an idea to mount it.. my cm690 is just 2 week old.. sayang nk 'cederakan' dier.. hehe..
cm690 top exhaust is 2x140mm in size, co cannot fit my rad.. kalo mount kat belakang nampak bersepah sikit.. hmm.gif

already using w/c.. just not satisfied yet.. yet no one offer me 1x120 red yet.. 2x120mm dat i mention earlier maybe can get after raya..

long time aledy didn't use my dremel.. just remember dat i'v lost my cutting wheel.. only left for sanding, carving and polishing..

my earlier plan is to use 2 of 1x120mm rad.. 1 at the back and 1 at da bottom.. in stealth mode, no need to cut anything.. icon_rolleyes.gif

wana ask u guys if the CM 4 in 3 front module.

Is the cover removeable? like i dont wan to have the cover and have the module insterted in then in front would only have the 5.25" slots cover plates.
*
i think the cover is removable, thats the proper placement for it anyway, at the front bay.
wonder if got seller sell this without cover. hmm.gif

i don't know how to do experiment to measure airflow la bro..need special equipment?

what i can compare with 2 fan is noisy..90cfm very noisy compare xigmatek....especially you put 2 90cfm at top as blower fan...bunyi berdenggung kuat! doh.gif

It total depend on you.
I prefer the top middle case fan to intake flesh air into the case so that my RAM and CPU is cooler (only one fan installed on the top).

p/s I just follow the way my Lian Li A10B fan air flow - intake air from the top casing :-)

OMG!!! I've forgotten about this thread...and now into Version 4.

err....let me introduce myself again....

CM stacker 1st version user here... biggrin.gif

my C2D rig now sits inside this stacker...the P4 rig had been relegated to other casing... tongue.gif

would like to know if there's any users here, who's improved the airflow and circulation of this type of stacker.

pictures would be helpful. biggrin.gif

thanks in advance. notworthy.gif
