i also face this prob twice already, i soft reset then it will be ok.

hi there fellow touch-pro users! I got my tp on monday and ive been tweaking and tweaking the thing for a few days with all the tweaks i could find, but theres still a few things buggin me:

1. the font when ur reading and typing messages ARE TOO HUGE. i manage to tone down the size of the popup menu font using advance config, but kenot for messages

2. i turned off all the message helpers (dictionary, substitution, auto correct) cuz i like uninterupted typing, but everytime i try typing a message, whenever i type a word, that black box (which would hold word suggestions) would come up, except no words there. its restrictive to typing cuz i cant just change one letter in the word and move on by pressing left or right

3. is the max volume of the TP really not loud? its okay for calls, but the loudspeaker is kinda weak. is there a tweak for that?

4. does the turn wheel (turning around the dpad) only works as input in opera? cuz i cant use it in menus or anything, just in opera to zoom in/out

Are you using CE-Star? An unregistered/expired version will cause that problem, so you will have to uninstall it or register it.

From what i heard from the technical team of Pda Expert they say CE-Star might cause some problems with the phone. So he installed another Chinese Application for me instead.

i did soft reset several times...no luck. probably will need to hard reset.

edit: well well....what do u know...it works! remove the CE Star and ...ta dah.....!!! thanks guys! will reinstall the CE-Star again see if this surfaces again!

2nd edit: Confirmed....CE-Star is the problem.

i removed the mapking r12 which mtcs installed for me..

that version makes the bottom softkeys skin turn turn black to white lol.

to solve this problem, go to windows > start up > delete GPSmapking.exe, soft reset

Just curious, what Chinese app is that? I'm looking for one that allows me to read/type Chinese and Japanese.. and so far CE-Star has been a ***** to use. So much harder than back when I was still using my P990's built-in Chinese keyboard. :/

have you manage to install the net cf 3.5? make sure your TP is connected to pc via windows mobile device center first ya, and follow the on screen instruction...

you're welcome.....antivirus? it's up to individual preference. i'd been using windows mobile based pda for about 4 years, all without installing any antivirus and i haven't got infected !

Btw anyone found a solution to prevent the screen turning itself off during a call? I find it quite annoying.

newpdauser, check a few pages back, there should be a cab fix posted. if not check XDA Developer. malas a bit to search for u today lol. h11g, same case, go to XDA, diamond section (not touch pro) and u can see a sticky thread called useful registry edits or something. use that reg edit for TP shud work

I think the Advanced Config software does the same thing too - to prevent screen from turning off when in a call. I think it's called something like 'stop phone from going into sleep mode during a call'.

anyone know how to keep the weather in TF3D change to next day automatic? like u yesterday update then today u see the weather...is yesterday..it not changing day by day...anyone can help?

Yeah i tried with advanced config but it doesnt work. My screen still turn itself off few seconds into a call. i will try to search in xda-dev like Baron suggested.
