Google the .net compact framework - you're supposed to install that first.

Anyhow I got further questions that are mind-boggling me.. first time using Windows Mobile and I'm not used to it at all.

1) I have a bunch of ringtones under My Ringtones folder in the phone storage, but how come I can't seem to see the list of my customised ringtones in the list for "receiving a new message"? It only appears under "receiving a call" or something like that.

2) I have lots of music in my memory card, but it's not appearing in the Music panel. Only the songs that comes together with the phone are listed there.. and how exactly do I delete these 'default' songs?

3) WiFi problem. Inside the Comm Manager, when I click on the Wi-Fi button to turn it on, a few secs later it turns off by itself! Does anyone know why is this happening, or is this a bug?

Edit: Never mind I got it.

1) You have to copy the ringtones to the Windows folder [ file explorer > my device > windows ]

2) go to - file explorer > my device > music folder [ it's inside there ]

3. haven't experience this before. is the wifi icon still remain at the top bar?

Thanks for the quick reply!

1) Oh thanks! Dang it, Windows Mobile is so quirky :/ Then wth is the My Ringtones folder for? >_>

2) Ah okay. But how do I make the music files in my microSD card to appear at the Music panel? How do I rebuild this library?

3) Okay this is stupid, but apparently when I connect my phone to my computer, it uses that computer's Internet connection thus rendering using Wi-Fi obsolete lol.

Hey i found out a minor problem with my TP and i would like to know if any of you experienced this problem. I tested by calling my TP with my landline and when the line is connected, my TP will only start ringing like maybe 2-3 seconds. The screen will turn on almost immediately but the ringing only starts like 2-3 seconds later.

How do I exactly install the framework if I don't have active sync with me?
I just want to copy the *.cab file to my TP directly and install from there but there's so many *.cab file.

Can anyone give comments on the speaker volume during call? Is it good? I read on other websites that a lot of users are complaining that they have very poor sound/voice coming from TP during call.

I want to get this phone, yet there's no point getting it if even for the basic phone feature (making a call), it has problem (low/soft volume).

Kerry: Just use your computer, browse to your Touch Pro's memory card, dump the .cab file there and run it using your TP.

And some of my images and mp3 are appearing as 0 byte, with a date dating back to year 1601 wtf!! The images/mp3 can still be accessed, it's just that the properties are all out of place. When I view them through my computer, everything seems to be fine.. so it has to be TP. :/ Anyone knows how to restore this to normalcy?

Haha... Not really, my phone landed into a lotta girl's hands, and their first few comments were: "I want one!" and "This phone is damn sexy weii!".

What threw them off was the price. XP And also the weight plus bulkyness... So I told them that there's one half the size, half the weight but maybe twice the sexiness (ahem, the Touch Diamond or the upcoming Touch HD).

And they instantly agreed.

Hey sann, so far my touch pro is loud enough on the speaker volume during call. I didn't encounter any problem with it. The only downside is when you talk long on the phone, it drains the battery fast.

help...! i really started to use the TP yesterday and horrors... i found that i am not able to reply messages!

sms comes in ok and is shown in TF3D format. i touch the sms, it brings me to a blank screen. same if i touch the top right 'reply' icon. i try to input with keyboard or other methods, nothing shows. funny? notes seem to work fine.

i tried soft resetting the device even removing my sim card but still the same. and sifu can help me?
