i use garmin on tp, juz remember that if your car is tinted (esp with V-Cool) it si hard to lock in satellites. u could try getting a lock first before starting your journey or wind down your windows....but becareful dont drop your precious tp! i will not be responsible for any unwanted incidents either!

help...! i really started to use the TP yesterday and horrors... i found that i am not able to reply messages!
sms comes in ok and is shown in TF3D format. i touch the sms, it brings me to a blank screen. same if i touch the top right 'reply' icon. i try to input with keyboard or other methods, nothing shows. funny? notes seem to work fine. i tried soft resetting the device even removing my sim card but still the same. and sifu can help me? |

QUOTE(cheesey @ Sep 25 2008, 10:31 AM) i did soft reset several times...no luck. probably will need to hard reset.Added on September 25, 2008, 11:20 am QUOTE(Saigo @ Sep 25 2008, 11:01 AM) Are you using CE-Star? An unregistered/expired version will cause that problem, so you will have to uninstall it or register it. i am using CE-Star but my version is registered. will try remove it to check. thanks!Added on September 25, 2008, 11:20 am QUOTE(h11g @ Sep 25 2008, 11:04 AM) From what i heard from the technical team of Pda Expert they say CE-Star might cause some problems with the phone. So he installed another Chinese Application for me instead. interesting.... i will remove my CE star to see if that helps!edit: well well....what do u know...it works! remove the CE Star and ...ta dah.....!!! thanks guys! will reinstall the CE-Star again see if this surfaces again! 2nd edit: Confirmed....CE-Star is the problem. guys,
does your predictive text (t9) work when using on-screen keyboard to sms? mine doesn't suggest any works at all even though i have the option selected under Input. it also doesn't work if i use the slide out keyboard. |

i found that my TP charges very slowly...even though i have gone through a few charge cycles. charged overnight almost 7 hours still only at 89%. only once did it charge to 100%. should it be like this? even my 838pro's extended battery also does not take this long!

selphy,
yeah it is really annoying... will try charge tonight with my 838pro charger. see if that helps. flashing to another ROM is actually very satisfying. it really brings out the best in your pda phone. however, i think the stock rom is sufficient at the moment...if there is a ROM that has some special features, i will be flashing in a jiffy! |

yeah well...but they have a problem with 'under-charging'! i doubt it is my battery or phone problem...(SIS asked me to leave my beloved TP there for 3 working days! nah...!)
i followed the guys instruction (see thread below), soft reset... and boom... reached 100% in 20 minutes from 89%! so it MUST be software related! surprised you guys dont face this... i charged for 6-7 hours still less than 90% full only. http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=430377 This post has been edited by soundguy: Sep 30 2008, 11:12 AM |

QUOTE(robinlim @ Oct 6 2008, 02:48 PM) well...i thought so too...but i realised that this normally happens after i go places with low radio signal. even when i move to a better reception area, the sms does not come in .... until much later when a call comes in or when i call out! Worse is it seems to be random! This post has been edited by soundguy: Oct 6 2008, 02:51 PM |
