just to be clear.....its not a steamboat restaurant kinda thing leh...its more like house-party steamboat.....self cook...but still quite fun tho....

basically u u got $120 / $150 credit per month....so if u no matter how much u use per...as long as its within that $120 credit....u only have to play $29......if say u exceed the cap.....say use $125...then ur monthly bill would be $29+5 = $34....

well i dun think so lar....it will hit the people in the middle income bracket....and like seed said.....those who overspend......

like the blue collar's.....thing run as usual....rice farmers still gotta grow rice....fisherman still going to sea....but maybe factory workers, and construction guys might face abit of difficulties lar....

and the top bracket no need to say la...they got money printing machine....but the middle bracket ie those white collar, sitting in the middle range of a company's structure they are the most vulnerable to be laid off.....like they dont need some random director sitting there since the one below them can still take over their job and its kinda hard for companies to keep these guys around....

ah damn missed that thing....now they showing US election stuff already ...anyway ive watched dateline about msia's election some months ago and about our clampdown on bloggers....indeed its embarrassing to have our bad stuffs broadcasted over the tv over here.....but i think the report by them is not fair as its more like Pakatan Rakyat's views only....i mean its okay if that's shown to Msians coz we all know how our mainstream media is out to show the good about the govt only.....but to broadcast a biased report to some freakin aussies who has no idea about how things work in Msia would only give a bad impression....

yea....got aboriginals and torres strait islanders.....talking about free new 4wds for takes, free newly build communities and housings to them...but the aboriginies dont appreciate those things so they would just burning those stuffs down to warm their night....and continue to wander around......and the cycle goes on and on.....talking bout wasting taxes....they are better at that, but then again they dont really care...coz 1 the aboriginals are so few as compared to the general population....2nd, the white ppl feel compelled to do sth, even if its blatant waste of taxpayers' money coz of all the inhuman stuff they did in the past.....

fairly treated?! i dun think so....well fine example is my faculty....we pay tonnes for our fees so our international students club sorta tried to ask if its possible for the faculty to decrease the fees and if not justify why its so high or sth.....then the faculty sorta said...well its just 'normal procedure' to increase the fees around 5-10% every year and they even added...well we dont think its too high...there's so much demand....sorta like if u dun like GTFO sth like that....lemme translate...."kalau tak suka boleh belah" sounds familiar?!....welcome to aussie MATE!

well i think the weather is quite chun....i personally prefer cold to hot.....like rite now its just so chun.... and i like the nice ppl here...sometimes i think they are just abit too nice at times

dude there is some misunderstanding here....maybe i was taking bout taxes in that same post but i aint sayign taht we should be funded by the aussie tax payers...they attitude that we get over here is as if we are treated like some sort of cash cows, well its kinda hard for u to get a grip of that unless ur here, getting this stuff shoved in your face directly....

what we were asking for is just a justification for that 5-10% fee increase every year....saying that it's just uni procedure without saying why is just pure rubbish....at least they should like try to show us some figures, or the rough breakdown or sth like taht.....

well why isnt it possible to compare that since we are treated like cash cows and not like real beings with higher brain function? well its always easy for a 3rd person to say much about some issues but unless one is in that sh*t, one just can't comprehend the issue as a whole....just like how that dateline's report on Msia's election in March.....typiacl 3rd person's view with no much insight at all....

well maybe i didnt say it properly but unless ur the one who are currently studying in this specific faculty and get this kinda remark from them and unless its your money that's on the line....its pertty easy for you to say....

so yes even u admitted that we are treated as cash cow....so back to the main argument point....so are we still treated equally then? locals and foreigners....not equal right? coz this whole issue came up when someone said EVERYONE is treated equal in Australia, and i said no....we are sorta like cash cows (i wouldn't say we ARE)...so is there still anything else that i miss?

and what i am saying is we are asking for the faculty to let us know what we are paying for and stuff, just like when you buy sth you would wanna know what you are paying for...unless yoour the kind who doesnt care coz of your bottomless piggybank...ah and now your putting words in my mouth? i didnt say that their education quality sucks and etc....

yea i get what your saying, there is difference that the whole idea of it...we are not EQUAL....i dunno why for me to say that the faculty is not being to transparent with us / our international student society and treating us differently would attract so much flak from certain quarters.....not that i am finding faults in the fee system.....but for the faculty to come up with such a sweeping statement is just uncalled for, certainly raised a few eyebrows amongst us internationals here....

well ive never said that we are supposed to enjoy subsidized education like the locals do....thats just what limeuu said not me...but the thing im saying is yes we are being treated differently....we pay different figures than the locals....different or not...of course....

yea i know its their policy, but at least they can re-interate / tell us again what bwe are paying for and so on right? is that just so hard to do and im not sure with why my faculty is acting in such a strange manner......

well okay maybe i make assumptions here when she said the word "people" i thought she meant "everyone"....and you on the other hand also made assumption that she's refering to "australian citizen" when she said "people".....i dont think i missed the point totally here.....coz it does not say specifically when she said people, if she's refering to "citizens only", "citizens & PR only" or "everyone who are currently living in Australia"....mind you there is also some minute difference between being a PR and being a citizen....

and you even go on to make more assumption, implying as if i sorta requesting to have my fee's subsidized by the taxpayers, and how i dont like education over here.....u be the judge.....
