for us, getting youtube videos with our links and references works very well in giving us higher PR. Google+ and FB fan page is a must on top of all traditional link building work as usual.

Pagerank is damn. I have try so many way but still PR0.

If your talking about the site in your sig, 98% of your backlinks are nofollow blog comments which wont pass page rank.

Having a lot of backlink is one thing but if you have many PR0 backlinks, no use.

I have a question regarding articles. If I submit similar articles to different article directories, is that considered duplicate content?

Duplicate content penalties are more about the similar content on your own site but if you submit the same article to directories you will stop seeing any serp improvement after around 50 submissions, it is better if you submit unique articles to each directory though. I normally submit the same article to the top 50 article directories and then I spin it to 50%+ uniqueness and submit to all the others. Make sure any article you submit does not appear on your own site.

Spin article no more work after google panda, you gotta spin it at least 95%. And then, google working further to update the algorithm after the google panda, called as Google Penguin, spin articcle no more work. You need unique article
