I know many good makan place but can't remember the names.  cry.gif

The one that I really like is on the way down from Kawah Putih. The restaurant is in the middle of paddy field. The restaurant concept is like having meals in the paddy field hut, very windy and beautiful scenary. Kampung style food. After lch we take a nap inside the hut. Our stomach were full, it was windy and best time to take a nap  laugh.gif

Ha Listiani, you make the place sound so nice & relaxing, a total escape from the city life smile.gif

Don't go the fine dining restaurant like in Kg Daun. The food is so so only.

Chk and ask your driver for good makan place. Most of the time, our driver was the one who brought us to the best makan place.

Agree.. Kampung Daun food so so only. If you been to Bali, it is same concept as dirty duck except more cooling.

Denny, is it applicable for Malaysia credit card?? I have been using my cc there but so far no special promo for Malaysia cc. However, I noticed, normally their sales begin in Dec until end of January. Not sure about other month though. I can' remember anymore  tongue.gif
*
well , the promotion of credit cards only occasionally, and usually only from a local bank .but just bring your credit cards , who knows useful in bandung

Anyone can recommend any nice places to eat in Bandung?

Cheers !

there's so many nice place to eat in bandung. ussually in "dago atas" area and lembang
example, kampung daun, the peak, rumah strawberry, maja house (a place where I got married early January tongue.gif ), kampung gajah (http://www.kampunggajah.com) and so many more
all of them in dago atas and lembang
if you looking in city, a lot of cafe, like giggle box, humming bird, atmosfere, tomodachi and so many more
but... if you looking the special taste, unique food, only in bandung... i recomended : nasi kalong, nasi ceu mar, perkedel bondon, bubur ayam PR, cibadak street, nasi goreng bistik astana anyar, and so many more. thumbup.gif

Just bought AA ticket to bandung for 3ppl on nx year end of march for around RM300 (including express pass, luggage & insurance). Is it very expensive???

Going for 5D4N, any good budget hotel around RM100-150 per night? maybe will squeeze 3 ppl in 1 hotel room.

after reading most of the posts here kind of dissapointed as many negative comments on the FO. So don't know what we are going to do. Will start planning our 5 days itinerary, please give me some guide or your past experience.

So far...

Day 1:Rumah Mode
Day 2: Jalan Riau

Maybe on the 3rd or 4th day will take one day trip to Jakarta find my fren. Whats the most comfortable and cheap method to get into Jakarta?

If you wat to go to jakarta from bandung, you can use the train or "CAR TREVEL" this is the most easy to go there.
X trans, Cipaganti trevel, Day trans, Baraya trevel, Citytrans and so many more. they are departs every hour.
but they just take us from station to station. so when you arrived i jakarta, you need a taxi to take you to your destination
only 65000 - 75000 rupiah

So maybe

Day 1 Jalan Dago

Day 2 Jakarta

Day 3 back to Bandung Jalan Riau

Day 4 Shopping + Volcano rim

Day 5

Reason for doing shopping later and Jakarta first because dont want carry to many things to Jakarta n back to Bandung.

Did a mistake for buying flight to n back from Bandung. Should have bought arrived at Jakarta and depart from Bandung.

Yes, there is, when you leave Bandung Airport - Rp 100,000
It's a damn nuisance, don't understand why they can't charge it into the ticket price.
For Vietnam, lagi teruk - you have to be prepared with USD30.

it's rp.100,000 for airport tax and isurance. D:

anyway i will suggest to buy brownies call bawean at jalan bawean or jalan riau...it's really famous biggrin.gif since small kid everytime visit bandung sure bought the brownies lol
and also try batagor at batagor kingsley (Jl. Veteran 25) (totally full everytime i come)
mie naripan also quite famous for local (Jl. Naripan No. 108 Bandung Utara/Sumur Bandung)

:S kampung daun it's not really nice for food, people come there just to see the scenery.

got 1 places quite nice but i dun't really remember the name. D:

and yeah if u use angkot is very cheap, just that diff angkot have different destination

if not u can use becak or motor around rp10,000 or less (prediction of price...few years ago i only rp5,000, i didn't use local transport anymore since i have my own car)
well i only can suggest food places only.D:
