Don't worry. Dago area is like in the middle of kota Bandung. Very near to go anywhere.

Yup. Angkot everywhere. Public transportation not a problem.

not really. especially because you must know the angkot route. and in the night, their number is not so many.

using public transport here, you may save money. but can waste time.

U know any shops who rent motorcycles in bandung? Have seen a few guesthouses rent them.

it is not recommended to ride motorcycle yourself. traffic here is different.

also, renting motorcycle for foreigner is quite difficult. as the owner must check your id and residential first.

As a malaysian expat in jakarta, trust me, do not drive.
I personally drive a manual reasonably well (max ncb) and the driving in indonesia is a different mentally. The taxies are priced ok ok, take bluebird if ur unfamiliar.

I self drove in bali before, so can I drive in Bandung?

recently came back from bandung - hire a driver comes with nice van..very friendly driver and he is always early and never late. drive not too fast and very careful on road..stayed in papandayan 5 stars near the transtudio.

I also drove myself when in Bandung. Not a problem. But be prepared 'mentally' when u driving there. Traffic jam, motorist ciluk here n there, road condition, etc2...... it really2 challenge u mentally. Haha..

If u often to get used with traffic in Vietnam, i think u will have no problem to ride/drive in Bandung. The traffic both places is quite similar with lots of motorist on the road. Exactly when u planning to visit Bandung?
