Just need to be extra careful with local people and keep your handbag/bag safe especially when you go to the famous Pasar Baru. They can recognise Malaysian (by our appearance) and like to follow and force us to buy theirs. When are u going? |

QUOTE(jannah_adnin @ Mar 30 2015, 09:21 PM) Mine will be on Sept. Should be okay. Dont worry. There'll be a lot of Msian especially makcik makcik shopping like crazy at Pasar Baru. If u r too afraid to go alone but still wanna go there, u can do like what my fren did: she simply asked any Malaysian on the same plane to join their group. So she saved money on supir (private driver) and made new fren. Good luck |

QUOTE(quebix @ Mar 31 2015, 09:45 AM) i think recently i read 2 different articles about 2 incidents involving single lady tourist who got raped in Indonesia. Crime in our own backyard is as bad, if not worse. Fact of the matter is... nowhere is 100% safe. My advice is, just take precautions, don't venture out to places you know you have a very high chance of getting robbed/assaulted/raped (this comes with experience forgot where the location is. 2 reports in the recent days. unreported? i bet many more cases. dont care where in indonesia, this happens. so be careful if u decide to go. maybe without a tour guide is better. if im not mistaken in one incident the guide raped the lady. another incident is the guard or someone. this is not your country, u r not familiar, and u are a lady, alone. rape cases involving single lady travelers, also documented. so i would say high risk. i propose not to go alone. ok i found the news: http://newsinfo.inquirer.net/659843/indone...chinese-tourist http://thejakartaglobe.beritasatu.com/news...in-bali-police/ Malaysian gang-raped in Bandung Trip Advisor page about rape in Bandung |

Managed to rent a scooter for a day (100k, not cheap but using public transport is slower and can be more expensive). Rode to soreang, ciwidey and mt patuha (kawah putih).. Very scenic
Riding in bandung wasn't as bad as i thought, had to motoweave a lot Angkot hopping wasn't as hard as I thought, once i got used to it, it was soo fun Went to braga, cihampelas, pasar baru and rumah mode This post has been edited by gaeria84: May 8 2015, 09:24 PM |

Ok lor, just have to be more 'aggressive', every part of the road is my domain, from middle line to even the pedestrian path Not at all, some places are pretty straightforward to get there, i used gps for some places like cihampelas walk and cicaheum (went to buy bus ticket) Stayed in Hunny Hostel, paskal food market is just 5 minutes away. Angkots pass by here very often, so it's easy for me to get around This post has been edited by gaeria84: May 12 2015, 08:16 AM |
