QUOTE(moko82 @ Sep 7 2015, 10:48 AM) I just came back from bandung... I had great pleasure having Mr Bowo as my driver. I booked my driver from here http://www.andrarentour.web.id . This is a company, so sure it has many drivers. If you want Pak Bowo, just mention about it when you do the booking. I regret going to tangkuban perahu. with just a so-so scenery.. and worse when 'mosquitoes' follows you around. I mean, a group of sellers follows you all the time, everywhere and it's hard not to buy anything... Better go to Kawah Putih putih. More beautiful scenery and there's no 'mosquitos' there. So, I can enjoy the moment.. Strawberry selling trick : They'll show you a big box of strawberry and say it just 5k rupiah. When you want to buy, they'll change their word, saying 5k is for small box, and 10k is for big box.. Anyway, 10k rupiah (~rm3) for big box is still worth it.. you can't get that kind of price here, ever. This is the big box strawberry for 10k rupiah (~rm3), bought at the car park at Kawah Putih. ![]() This post has been edited by zeese: Sep 11 2015, 09:42 AM |

QUOTE(moko82 @ Sep 11 2015, 12:00 PM) I stay at golden flower hotel (at Jln Asia Afrika). Location is not my concern at all coz I got supir to bring mearound everyday. This hotel is good. All the employees I met in the hotel are very friendly.. Breakfast is good with plenty of menu, and the breakfast menu is changed everyday. So, I didn't get bored with the same breakfast menu like hotels in Malaysia do. |

Did any of you guys go to trans studio with family? How is your experience?
If compared with the genting highland (before current renovation), which is better? In youtube, it seems most of the rides are for big kids.. Lots of thrill rides. I have a small kid that afraid of thrill rides. I'm starting to doubt whether my small kid will enjoy this visit or not.. Please kindly advise. Thanks. |

where is a better place to change rm to rupiah. Is it better to change in Malaysia, or change the money inside Bandung city?

QUOTE(hidzwan @ Dec 13 2016, 02:56 PM) just return from Jakarta & bandung trip. I just went there last week. Awesome. Other than the free roaming animal, there are also a dolphin show and sea lion shows, and the animals there are also fat, big & active and it wasn't smelly. I wonder why we don't have such thing in Malaysia. Even the public toilet are much cleaner than our zoo's public toilet. Im speechless with the traffic condition :| Next trip, i'd probably spend for Bandung only. One regret, I have to skipped Taman Safari in Bogor due to such a hefty price! From Ciwedey (kawah putih) to the safari, it took me 6 hours... because it's a 2 lane road all the way and always full with cars.. If any of you want to go to this safari, it is actually closer to jakarta than bandung. QUOTE(nanan75 @ Dec 13 2016, 04:21 PM) I'm wondering how come KUL-BDO flight tickets are mostly RM500 range round trip, which is quite costly compares to Jakarta or even Bali. Last year, I got RM113 return trip during Malindo sales. This year, my ticket was RM145 return trip with Airasia (not including luggage, seat select & meal). If anyone knows the trick to get cheaper flights do educate me, thanks heaps! For airasia, buy tickets during zero fare sales, but now it is called 'free seats' sales... usually twice a year. Another tips : subscribe AA, Malindo, MAS newsletters/email ... |

There's a new attraction in bandung... it's called Glamping. According to the supir, it was opened starting last year only.. I've just been there.
It's in the same area as kawah putih, which is in Ciwedey region. » Click to show Spoiler - click again to hide... « |

QUOTE(ajay67 @ Jun 18 2017, 03:32 PM) very quiet here.. If you dont know where to go, then lets the tour guide pick destinations for you.thinking of going during raya haji holiday.. donno get tour package or just hire a supir. Otherwise, identify the attractions yourself and tell the supir to bring you there... or ask the supir for recommendation. This post has been edited by zeese: Jun 18 2017, 06:35 PM |

if you're going to both jakarta and bandung, dont forget to drop by to their bogor safari. It's unique because it is something that you cant see in Malaysia.. a safari. They got got a dolphin & sea lion show there. I stayed at the safari's lodge, it was nice because it was very cold because it is located in the middle of the jungle..
